Inviting a game designer

What do you think to invite a game designer of NES to come here and inspire us?
I suggest to ask Yoshihisa Kishimoto which was a key person for designing the Kunio Nekketsu games.
He was working for Technos Japan back then.
Here is his personal web page
And here is his info on Wikipedia

I'm a game designer. You can invite me. :)

I think he meant "professional" game designer, unless you've actually worked at a videogame company.

This is a public place. You don't need permission to invite someone. ? If he wants to come hang out, great!

Perhaps it's not "permission" as "please help us form a good argument for it being worth a professional's time".

I believe that good game design may not necessarily have exact guidelines, but rather it just has to work and be fun. Since I've been playing games my whole life I personally feel as if I have a somewhat of a video game "intuition" so to speak.

If someone makes a game and I play test it and feel that something isn't just quite right I make a suggestion to change it. If I make something myself and play it and just don't think its fun I try and change it as well.

I believe that if I'm not having fun playing something then other people aren't as well. Here is one example of something I suggested to my good friend who is working on a Link to the Past hack.

and here is my modified version.

Would you agree with my design changes?

I deleted a barrier in the middle because I felt that it was too cramped and fixed a perspective error on the far right high level hill.

Here is a link of a preview of the game. Its by the same person as Parallel Worlds hack.

Was it an error, though? The back of that column could very well have extended past the back of the platform below.

Technically you are correct, but I think its better with the change.

Well I want to arrange an interview with a NES game designer who worked around 1990 for a professional company.
And ask him such questions :
How did they make a game for NES back then?
What tools they used for making a nes game?
What was the progress?
How many people worked on a project?
What kind of problems did they have?
Any good and bad memory from those days?
and some other questions which can be added later

But I suggest someone with high reputation (maybe an admin or moderator of nesdev) ask such questions from a professional or at least invite him to come and answer the questions.

I remember it was a big deal when Ducktales producer Darlene Waddington showed up on Sardius's board. Yes, even though this happened about 13 years ago...
