I can check whether there's a translation coming down the pipe, although the video is more of an introduction to the concept of arcade and video games in general, more so than the art and the production methods.
I wasn't involved in that particular production, but it was outsourced and it seems the philosophy behind it was something like 'textile museum visitors know textiles better than video games'. I wouldn't personally agree that's a successful strategy if the aim is to attract new crowds, and school groups would probably get more out of the reverse. But it's a detail in the whole.

I guess trying to do it with a machine would be difficult too, since the grid of the weave probably stretches a bit.
It *might* be possible, though. There are some amazing machines out there, even if precision is very costly. The effort to set them up and do test runs may also add to the not worth it list if you're doing one of a kind pieces or just patterns which doesn't repeat a lot. And friends of the hand craft could probably tell the difference. I'm not so sure i would.
Here's three more. Anyone guess the game?
