Since "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is my favorite movie, I wanted to ask who else likes it. What do you like about the movie?

I've never watched it. I saw Freddy vs. Jason on TV once, but that's universally agreed to be a shitty movie. I've always liked the design of the character, but I'm just not that into horror movies and haven't made an effort to see it. I really like "The Terminator" (and only the first one), if that counts. 
I have very negative feelings toward nearly all Horror Genre movies.
I did like Zombieland and the Evil Dead movies. And the Shining.
Nightmare on Elm Street, the first one. I would definitely put in the 'classic' category. Not as good as the first Friday the 13th movie.
