How big are 3DS games?
by on (#228180)
I recently picked up a (used) 3DS. And almost immediately regretted it, but there are some decent games for the system. Unfortunately, some of the games I want are no longer available in physical release, and Nintendo, confirming their utter incompetence in what goes into an online store, refuse to disclose how big their digital downloads are. Even discounting my metered internet connection, how am I supposed to tell what will fit on my SD card?

So, anyone have the digital version of Kid Icarus: Uprising, and able to tell me how big it is? (Or that it's not worth $80, that would work too.)

Digital downloads should be slightly larger than carts since they'd include patches. Cart sizes you can find when googling ds scene release list.

Apparently it's 1.6 GB. At the very least it fits in a 2GB card: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/3ds-game ... es.456554/

Good to know; I'll probably be picking up this game some time down the line.

It will tell you on the purchase page how many blocks you need, and how many you have. But you have to have enough money in the "wallet" to get to the screen.

You are aware of a certain website called eBay, aren't you?

Here's an example for purchasing "Kid Icarus: Uprising" for $13:
