Never heard of "Extrude" used to mean anything other than squeezing a mixture out of a shaped hole, or the equivalent operation in 3d modeling.
I coined the term in 2012 on deviantART when turning a Sonic fan character into an original character and starting a new worldbuilding project.

In that case, I'll have to ask someone to help me extrude a couple of my older projects (namely Who's Cuter and Sprite Cans) before I can put them in
little things.
XD I'd definitely love to see people using that term XD
Oh, WAIT! Hold on... Were you the one making those tech demos? That marquee scrolling Who's Cuter program that's a broadcast of some anthropomorphic aliens who "boast2 about their cuteness like Nermal from Garfield does? XD Saying how they have 2 arms and 2 legs instead of 4 legs like how people think they are. Oh my... The memories. >w< wow, dude...
I think you could use Super Homebrew War / NESdev characters as the candidates XD
About the Sprite Cans, you could use NESoda (NES Soda *da bum TRÅ !*), a soda that contains all ingredients (HEALTHY ONES! Including healthy natural stuff that the big pharma is illegalizing to prevent prodigies from saving the world with their prodigy homebrew programming) that programmers need for staying up all night programming. I could use some of that for my Battle City hack. First time seeing assembly that's easily moddable. I'm making a mod that transfers a life to a gameover'd player from the other player if the other player has at least 2 lives, and the transfer happens on spawn. That way I'll be able to play with Vix the Bull regardless of his gameoverings XD
Do you have those for download? I'd like to replay them.

I'm glad you like it!
I have some questions
- Am I allowed to allow everyone to the OGG download on SoundCloud?
- May I also allow downloads to the score/MIDI/project file?
- And how far may I go with using this new style that I've made in order to "Extrude" it into original content?
"Extrude" means to make original work out of derivative works; such as Freedom Planet having been made out of a Sonic fan game engine and Sonic fan characters but cleansed from the proprietary/unauthorized/restricted/limited/etc. Sonic assets.
1. yes. the original is up there aswell,
https://soundcloud.com/estlib/vigilante ... eme-dread/2. aslong as you transcribed those, yes, you can.
3. sound-alikes are a common tactic for composing new music, alternatively, leitmotif is a good alternative to making sound-alikes aswell. tldr - yes
Alright. It's up for a download! Link:
https://soundcloud.com/retrozvoc/dreadfully-epic-remixIf the quality is bad, it is SoundCloud's fault; my file should be crystal clear in its beautiful OGG format when you download it.
I have transcribed them by ear and my own memory, but I rearranged some stuff like chords and harmony lines because the NES limitations couldn't allow for them (channel limit & pattern/memory limit). I now regret not having used all possible chords I wanted to use XD back in the intro/outro, the Cdim should have the Violoncello play C and then the Violoncello should jump onto Eb on the D7b9 chord verticala. I might make a revised version if my OCD permits.
Speaking of the sharing, what license should I give to the people? SoundCloud gives me a Creative Commons option. I'd like to offer a CC-BY, but I'm not sure would it be okay to allow commercial use or not. ShareAlike is out of the question; NEVER ShareAlike in my life. So, should I offer CC-BY or CC-BY-NC? Since I had the right to arrange (although it was all on "implied consent" since nobody here has the money to sue people nor the greed to do so as we already know that we're dealing with a greed giaNt (CwutIdiddair?)), should I forward it to others to arrange as well? The reason I'm not going to use ShareAlike is because of the avalanche of copyleft forcing Let's Plays, videos, entire games, etc. to be ShareAlike just because of one tiny ShareAlike thing. Hence the term "viral licensing". And yes yes, I know, I always stab copyleft whenever I can. It's just me.
And thanks again for the permission!
