I talk about this every once in a wile but noboady ever comments back at me.
Anyboady else notase the the 360 has a slight lag in the controlls, it dose not matter if you useing wireless controller of wired ones. Its onley a tiny bit and I can adjust to it but its there. Am I the only one aware of this?
I'm gonna ask at a xbox site later but I wanted to see what you guys think.
Xbox 360 works on HDTV, and the signal processors in some HDTVs are known to lag to improve the picture quality for non-interactive video such as digital cable and DVD. Does your TV have a low-lag "game mode"?
^^What tepples says is correct. In fact guitar hero games have "calibration" for this exact purpose.
That’s not what I mean. This happens even when you use composite on an SD TV.
I think you're just imagining it. I havnt heard of anything like this and havnt experienced it myself.

Tilt the controller to allow gravity to assist the bits getting out of it faster...
Maybe you need to add more blinker fluid.
But seriously now if the thing had lag.....dont you think that'd be a common complaint around the web? It isnt like people arent complaining about certain other flaws
I've never noticed any significant lag. Only once when playing on my brother's TV (HD LCD) did I notice a difference in timing. The game was Gears of War and I was doing the active reload where you push the button when this scrolling line meets a white mark in the bar. I noticed I had to press the button sooner. Presumably because the image seen was behind the actual game. But really I have never noticed any difference in response time between a wired 360 controller and the wireless.
The real lag test is Mike Tyson's Punch Out, when fighting Tyson.
Even in emulators on a PC, I have difficulties here, it's much easier on an actual NES and CRT TV.
This is what I get on an NES site, imagine how much shit I would get on an xbox one.
edit: Strange a lot of the posts just suddenly appeared when I posted this. Now I'm getting lag in the fourms, speak of the devil and he will appear.
btw I mean both wired and wireless, its very slight but compared to a ps2 and such the responce time is slower.

I don't have a Xbox360 but if I would suspect such a thing, this is what I would do. For example on the PS3, there is many trial you can download. Those trial are available at the store too. I guess it must be the same for the Xbox 360.
Try to download one that you know is available at the store. Test it at home, then test it at the store. If the experience is not the same (i.e. no lag at the store) then I would start to suspect that something at home (pad, console, tv etc) is causing an issue.
It may not be the answer you're looking for but I hope this will help you find your issue.
I don't experience the lag, and I've been playing on many 360's for hours straight.
I think it might be your hardware. BTW, The 360's I use are from around 2006.
(Note, I usually buy rrod'd 360s, repair them, then test them and mod them, then sell 'em again. And I've never noticed lag. Besides on GTA IV when intstalled to the HDD. But that's an issue of the textures loading late.
Edit: BTW Peppers, the poll has a typo, you typed "dose" instead of "does"
but it would have been better as, "have you noticed the lag?". I'm not trying to be critical, I'm just pointing stuff out.
