Or is it "479"?
I'm no good with Japanese, so I can't remember.
Edit: Tepples, can you delete this thread when I get the answer? I think it's kind of offensive with the death and suffering and all...
4 is considered an unlucky number for japanese since it can be pronounced like "shi", which mean death.
Sorry to being rude but when are we going to see you talk about, I don't know, nesdev programming related topics?
Yeah, 4 is the unlucky number. Lots of buildings skip the 4th floor and go straight from 3 to 5.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that the etymology of the word "yakuza" comes from the losing hand of a card game (8, 9, 3):

Oh my god this is sooo stupid. I can't stand people with this kind of stupid belief. Be it 4, 13, 666 or anything, no number is better or worse than others. Kinda like people who actually read their horoscope daily. It really pisses me off.
That's kind of extreme for such a benign belief. I'm not saying I think it has any merit but it isn't hurting anything.

I use binary.
And I use hexadecimal to save space. (Seriously though, I do sometimes.)
