havn't been around so sorry if this have already been posted.
just saw this cool visual 6502 simulator
http://visual6502.org/JSSim/index.html
I haven't seen that, that's really cool though!
If you look around on their site, they've also done the TIA of the Atari 2600, and have gotten some video out of it.
The NES is on their donation wish-list, so maybe he'll do the NES PPU and CPU. I had at least one broken NES, but I already removed the CPU and sent it off for a similar kind of analysis (I don't know if it's affiliated with that site). I've got plenty of PPUs though.
oops didnt see it already posted, my fault
still neat
very interesting. albeit, it brings my system to a crawl.
I'd love to see a similar visualisation of the PPU.

I'm sure we'll discover some other bugs in it

Anyone by any chance have the PPU drawn out in just standard chips? If so, getting the parts and building your own would be cool....and a good alternative to mod the PPU to do RGB without destroying a harder to find and more expensive arcade PPU. :3

Cool! I was just thinking about the BRK/IRQ/NMI/RESET behaviour yesterday.
the guy how has pagetable.com made a speak at 27c3 yesterday, really interesting stuff.
most of the undocumented opcodes aren't that undocumented anymore
you can read more about it here:
http://events.ccc.de/congress/2010/Fahr ... 59.en.html
stream dumps are available here:
http://events.ccc.de/congress/2010/wiki ... treamdumps
the talk was in saal1 ~12:45 2010-12-28 (day 2)
(some servers uses the time and place as filename)
Did anyone else notice from the 27c3 video that in the die shot of the 2A03 the 6502 was a small portion of the total die space -- maybe 1/3 to 1/4? Makes me question some of our guesses "oh, they probably did that for space"...
