Are there any other NES schematics available?
by Pasky on 2013-09-25 (#118641)
I've only managed to find 2 and they don't show the entire circuitry for the board (for instance, the vcc circuitry for the CPU and PPU are missing, that or I've missed an oversight in both of them).
These are the two I know of:

AFAIK the regulator is a standard 7805-based regulator with a large capacitor in the input to reduce ripple and another smaller capacitor in the output to smooth it.

There are another 3 pages to the first one you've found there (the orange one). One of those pages includes the regulator description.
Also, there's a mistake in that same one; the order of the pins on the reset button + led is wrong.

Thanks.
Are the CPU and PPU not decoupled?

Looking at my NES-CPU-07, there are a bunch of 10nF ("103") capacitors all over the board, near most ICs' power supply pins. I'd arbitrarily guess that: 2A03-C13 — 74'139-C25 — LH5116 (main RAM)-C3 — LH5116 (NT RAM)-C22 — 74'373-C39 — 2C02-C32 — 74'04-C24 — both 74'368s-C40 — CIC-C10 When "Electronic Corp (EDC)" reverse engineered the schematic, they left out all the bypass capacitors and part UIDs.
