I have had this useless pin converter for a while, but since I bought my Everdrive N8 (Famicom version) I've been thinking about making some modifications to the converter in order to use the N8 on my NES consoles. The first thing I want to do is add a CIC, so the thing can work in all consoles. No problems there.
The second thing I'd like to have is expansion audio. The thing is, I don't want to mod my console(s), I just want to be able to use the converter in whatever console I feel like. This crazy mod came to mind, and I figured that would be the cleanest solution (although I intend to make the plug itself less ugly).
My main concern are the resistors... does 470 ohm sound correct to you hardware guys? I happen to have a few such resistors with me right now, so that's pretty convenient. And is the schematic really that simple? just put a resistor in each audio source (NES and cartridge) before connecting them together?
I've attached a picture illustrating the connections I intend to do inside the converter, just because (red = CIC, pink = audio, blue = cuts):
