is it possible to program an EPROM as a WRAM chip? this would be useful when making a FF3 cart, so instead of taking a WRAM chip off another board, a programmed EPROM would be used as a CHR RAM chip. just a thought
That won't work. ROM vs RAM. WRAM used by games must be writable. EPROMs are not writable. They are programmable only by EPROM programmers that takes like +12 volts to program them. To make FF3 reproductions you will have to convert a similar board. This cannot be avoided.
