Hi guys,
A couple of years ago, a set of Edonkey links for a translated version of volume 3 of "Famicom Kaizou Manual" (aka "Famicom Remodeling Manual") were posted here:
http://nesdev.com/bbs/viewtopi ... c&start=45
(see the first post on that page). I've been on ed2k all morning and haven't seen a single person with this file (searching by Filehash and file name, restarting the search every so often). Figator suggests that the file still exists on ed2k (albeit with only one or two sources), it's just that I'm not seeing it...
They were also (at one point) available from http://simplynes.emucamp.com/copytool.html.
I'm doing some work on a magnetic disc analyser / data recovery system, and would rather like to have a look at these files. Does anyone still have a copy of them lying around?
Also, there's a reference on TomyWeb (http://www.tototek.com/tomyweb/) to a hack for the copy-protection in the FD3206 head driver chip. I found a few obscure references (with Google) that suggest the "hack" uses an ICT PEEL18CV8 (specifically, here: http://nesdev.com/cgi-bin/wwwt ... anded&sb=3), but couldn't find anything else. Does anyone have any further details on this?
Thanks,
Phil.
