I started working on a CopyNES client in Python today and it's coming along pretty good. Perhaps it could someday become a cross platform alternative to the official software.
Operations supported so far:
- Check BIOS version
- Dump memory contents
- Dump ROM
- Upload ROM to PowerPak Lite
I've managed to dump a few ROMs and upload them to my PowerPak lite. It seems to work fine on Windows 7 x64, Ubuntu 11.10 and Mac OS X 10.6, though you need to install the proper FTDI driver and Python module (see the github page).
