I've ordered a Just Breed card. Unfortunately, aside with the honeybee adaptator, the whole thing is TOO LONG to fit the frontloader NES. So I cannot play the game. How frustrating... is there any solution to that problem ?
You could open up the NES's case and remove the top half. If the cart already fits in the loading tray, that'll work easily.
No, it isn't really enough. I disabled my lockout so the power won't blink if there is no correct contact, and then I put additionnal wheight with my hand and it worked. However, I cannot play with my hand pushing constantly on the cartridge, that is really boring. I have to remove the metal bar to be able to push the game down witout taking the whole NES appart (only the top half), and I still have no idea how to process. I tired pushing, pulling, all of these have no effect.
Would using a game genie help?
Most probably, if I had any. But I solved the problem. Here you are how to process, if anyone encounter a similar problem.
- Open the NES
- Narrow each pin on the connector with some spiky tool, so they can grip the cartridge more
- Facultative, but disabling the CIC by cutting pin #4 help to have a game woriking without have to push it down by 100%
- Cloose your NES
- When playing your game, use a pencil to hold the cartridge as down as possible, and it is enough to have the game working.
