Hey. I am "Ken Tama". I was actually directed here by one of my other video game forums members. I had a question that I dont think anybody there could answer. So they directed me here. Question can be seen here : http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess... Ive been pretty much been collecting ever since I got my NES with ROB in 85 even though I didnt really consider it collecting back then. I was the kid who all he asked for was video games every Christmas and Birthday. In my youth I had about 50 or so NES games in my collection. Yea I guess I was that one spoiled kid who everybody wanted to hang out with just because of the lot of video games he owned. Now Im 28 and collect pretty seriously. Mostly old NES but I have a little of everything. I usually go for quality over quanity, but I have about 300 games total. I also collect merch. Mostly vintage stuff. Anyways nice to meet yall.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to say hello first. I've been following the site for a while now and I really enjoy the box art and manual scans.

Late hello, all.
I've been an avid gamer since the mid80s (first system: Intellivision I in '84) and a cart collector since the mid90s. I primarily collect for Genesis & Intellivision but I'm also into NES, GB/GBC, and A2600/7800/XE stuffs.

The Nintendo rarity guide here is great (thorough and very helpful) and I figured (some of) the community here would be just as knowledgeable & helpful if I should have any Nintendo-related questions, so I signed up.
SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!1

I'm Gregory, 36 year old coming back to gaming after about being away almost 15 years.

I grew up with the Atari 2600 that my parents bought for us. Lots of hours logged on that machine. I remember going to KB Toys in the mid to late 80s buying new Atari games for $1 because everyone else was buying Nintendo stuff.

In 1989, when I was 15, I worked all summer at my parents restaurant and purchased my first NES Action Set. I don't remember the exact price but I remember getting it at Wal-Mart for maybe around $199. I was so proud of that thing.

A few years later I purchased what would be my last brand new system, a Super Nintendo.

Then in 1995 I got married and started a family so I got rid of everything. Somewhere around 2000 I purchased a PS1. Played a few months on that thing, then lost interest. A couple of years ago I bought a used PS2. Only really played the Guitar Hero games on that. It consumed me so I got rid of it.

Recently I have been picking up old systems and stuff on the cheap on Craigslist and at Goodwill so I'm back at it once again.
