THIS SEEMS LIKE A LONG STORY...BUT ITS WORTH A FEW MINUTES FOR AN APPRECIATIVE COLLECTOR...So just before last christmas (2007), my friend and I took a detour from our holiday shopping to stop to go to the local "exchange". I'm sure everyone in the lower 48 has exchanges or an equivilant where people come to pawn their old or unwanted electronics for pennies on the dollar. Well, after finding nothing great, my friend and I left into the bitter cold winter night and passed a mother and her early teen son walking into the store with a huge box of nes games!! We kept walking, and talking about what treasures might be in that mysterious box, but didn't turn around right away...well something just told me that i needed to see what was in that box and I knew that the Dbags working there would give them squatt, so we left the car and made our way back into th store. Well, Ive been seen there quite a bit buying old games, so when we went back into the store, I went to the back and my friend hung around up front (who knows little about nes games) to see if he could hear any of the games being read aloud. He comes back to find me in about 5 minutes and says "I think they said like 'King neptune' something or other, or 'moon man'..." my heart started to race as i made my way to the front of the store...I got there as soon as the doosh nozzle behind the counter told the heart broken son and his mother that there was nothing of value in the box and that the most they could give them was about $7!!!! Thats when I saw that this grinch of an employee had two blue carts sitting on an adjacent counter and out of the box (probably ready to go on eBay that same night)...I could see this was my time to strike and i approached the woman saying "Excuse me mam', are these your games?"..."why yes they are" she replied..."I collect nintendo games and I would gladly pay more for your box of games than this store will ever give you"...the employees were a little stunned. I gave her the money to purchase a Wii game ($20) that her son came to buy, and after taking my box to the car I was amazed!!! there were about 35 nes games, 8-10 snes games, and about 4 nes controllers!! These werent 10 copies of GOLF either...King neptunes adventure, Moon ranger, and gradius, to name a few...total i added like 25 new games to my collection...made a kids christmas wishes come true, and stuck it to those greedy Exchange pricks...ho ho ho bitches!!!

There are a lot of new employees since then who are none the wiser to this incident, but the balding D-bag still works there...he gives me a cold glare every now and then but hopefully he learned a valuable lesson...as i said...his store usually sucks anyways because he pulls stuff like this all the time...gives people $7 for a large box of good games, puts all the 3-d worldrunners and track and fields on the shelves and sells the rest online...its ruining a good game collecting source really...:'-(

Best way to do this so you don't get banned from these stores is to get in good with the employees. I have had situations where I watched a local pawn buy a bunch of N64 games for $.25 each, as soon as people selling the games left the store, one of the store employees motioned over for me to go through and pick out the ones I wanted for my regular price, $3.00 each.
I've got a deal with this particular shop, no matter what the game is, as long as isn't for current or last generation systems, it's $3.00 unless I buy a bunch, then it's usually cheaper.
Yeah, there making $2.75 a game in this situation, but I am still getting a good deal for good titles. They have to operate somehow.
