This feels so awkward playing on a laptop. I'll have to change my controls set-up, because the left side is hitting the right flipper and the right side is hitting the left flipper. But I love pinball. I had a job where it was so boring I had to sit and play that windows space pinball game for hours and hours on end.

Decided to give this one a start tonight.  I uploaded pictures of both screens because I wasn't sure which one would be more acceptable for submission.  Took quite a few tries before I was able to do this good.  This is definitely going to be a challenging contest.

Post 1200 as well

**UPDATE**

Did this run the other day and didn't get around to posting the new pic until now.

** 2nd UPDATE**

Gave this a few tries tonight, and finally came up with this.

**3rd UPDATE**

Kicked this game's ass tonight!  Could've done a lot better because I had a really good rhythm going, but ghostie decided to eat my ball and spoil all the fun.

**4th UPDATE**

Did pretty good this time around.  After I lost the 1st ball, I decided to keep playing to see how good I could do overall.  Ended up scoring over 15 million points, making it my best game of Pinbot ever.

Yup, ghostie sucks.

Also, if anyone wants to know, it's more efficient to do 4 players and have four first balls in a row. Hence the 3 and 4 player titles....

I have an issue I'd like to discuss. It concerns specifically the underlined part here:

The Solar Ramp starts at a value of 100,000, and each time a player
shoots the ramp, it adds another 50,000 to the value. It is collected
by getting two balls in play, and then returning one to the ball hold.
Then, the player must shoot the ramp (while the ball is contained), and
it will award the value to your score, and reset to 100,000 stock value.
An interesting note is if you build the value up during a game, but do
not collect, then on the next game (provided the game is not reset/turned
off) the value remains! This means if you are going to score high as you
can, you might want to spend a few games just shooting the ramp to build
the value for your real attempt at a large score. Shooting the ramp also
gives a multiplier for your bonus (up to x5), and when it lands on the
plunger, the vortex multiplier value increases by x1. This is a very
important part of scoring well, so practice shooting the ramp!

I think we should always start a new game with the Solar Ramp at the default value of 100,000 points. Agree?

^Yeah, I agree. We should always reset the system after we lose the ball. However, every time I've played this game for the contest, I've always reset the system, so I've never had the opportunity to build up the ramp. In fact, I didn't even know it held the Solar Ramp value between games, as long as the system was not shut off.

Not sure you would do 12mil, I'm pretty sure the score loops after 10mil, then you can access ending credit.

If people are resetting the game between attempts, this solves the problem, right?

Does the solar value stay the same for each player?

It loops on the table, but the screen where it counts the bonus still works fine. You get to the credits screen by getting over 10 mil and then dying.

Well, the big points are in using the solar ramp to get back to the plunger and skill shooting the vortex anyway, you can get 10 million in like a minute if you don't suck at it! Solar value banks 50,000 per ramp, which you have to then collect, but vortex GIVES you 100,000 and each time you hit it adds 100,000 to its own value, so if you hit it twice you get 200,000 then 300,000 and etc. Doing it during multiball doubles everything.

(I suck at it though go nuts NA)

Updated my score. Figured out just the right amount of strength to put into the plunger to get the vortex skill shot. I can get it about 75% of the time.

Ain't I a stinker   Took me quite a few tries to do that good.  If you can build up the solar value quite a bit, it can do wonders to your score when you collect it .  But then again, if you collect the solar value, then the table advances up a level and you have to deal with that damn ball-eating ghost.
