Are you guys joking? At that price, I was thinking of buying ten of them. I feel like sending him a nasty message but unfortunately that will not rid him of his doucheness, only a swift blow to the back of the head with a blunt object would do that.

Yeah I don't know what that guy's problem is. I hate people who want way too much for something and when you tell them it's not worth that, they argue with you. They think they're the only ones who have an NES box.

Honestly, there are tons of threads on ebay with overpriced NES systems. All you are doing is giving the seller more publicity....best to do, is *facepalm* then keep moving

What amazes me the most is that he/she didn't spend the 2 minutes it would have taken to do an Ebay search to see what they were selling for before listing the posting.

Always buying copies of Crystal Mine. Carts, manuals, boxes, CIB and sealed I want them all.

I think it may have been my message to him in response to his response to the question he added...

Dear zorro_melb,

Actually, the one that sold in the US had a complete in box copy of Stadium Events, which happens to be the single rarest US released NES game. The system is worth around $100 in the condition you have it, maybe more, maybe less. Ten minutes on Google will verify that no NES system has actually SOLD for that price without Stadium Events being included, although many people have attempted to SELL them for such an insane price. The NES is by far the most plentiful system in the world and is in no way worth $15,000 or even the $1,500 opening bid.

Polite, informative, and easily verified info. Hopefully I didn't come off like a know-it-all jackass

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

even if you did, it's better than coming off as an uninformed jackass like the seller has managed to do
