Stumbled across a N64 w/ 2 controllers and 20 games listed for $225. I shot the guy an offer of $150 and he offered back with $175 but I told him import charges (hate those things) would cost an additional $25 and wanted to stay firm at $150 and he accepted!

And then some games arrived from fellow NA member dquiros who hooked me up with a couple higher end games and fillers that I needed and tossed in a sexy Japanese Yoshi story to boot! (sorry for blurry image - the heavens were shining down on my find apparently).

Enjoy man! Glad everything got to you safe and fast!

I actually make ebay offers all the time on items without best offer buttons. Email the seller and set up a deal, it works pretty good sometimes. Only problem is some of the big sellers have great stuff, but eBay won't let you message them because they get too much mail to deal with supposedly. Do what you gotta do though, very nice stuff.

On a more serious note, I've played EarthBound today for so long, I feel all tense and mentally worn out.
Then you called your mother and felt better?

This is true. Usually if there's something that I want to make an offer on I will shoot them a message and say something along the lines of "Hey, I noticed you didn't have a 'best offer' option on this item, but I would be willing to make one if you did". At least then I didn't really make an official offer yet, has worked for me. Not really sure how much or if you would get in any kind of trouble for it though. Probably just a reminder not to do it.

If eBay didn't want you contacting sellers then they wouldn't give you the ability to do so.

Well, I think they just want to avoid people sending offers and completing the transaction outside of eBay.

Oh and BTW, grats on the finds - forgot about that!

They want you to be able to contact the sellers for some legitimate reasons, that doesn't mean eBay is cool with whatever you feel like saying to a seller. Do you think eBay is cool with buyers asking to deal outside to save the fees? I mean they give you the ability to do so.

Point taken, I suppose that's why they removed the ability to send email addresses

If the complain about you sending offers, but you make it know you would still complete the deal through eBay's system, then it shouldn't be an issue. I've never had any of these problems sending offers before, but I'll be more aware from now on.

I've had side deals from out of the country types all the time, I either ignore it or nicely decline. It's a dick move to threaten to rat someone out for making a fair offer to throw money at you. I've never done it as I've not really been in a spot on ebay to plunder a couple hundred dollar package of games and junk, but if I were I think I'd probably ask as there should be no harm in it. Non-gaming long ago I've asked and through ebay as I feared they'd read my emails from some flagging tool and kick my ass for trying to cut them out.

Today has been a great day,

It started with me picking up this N64 bundle for a smooth $80 and scored four games that I needed for the cart collection:

I then proceeded to find this game for sale on the interwebs only 30 minutes away. I was skeptical at first because there have been a lot of scammers showing rare games for sale and then try to do some shiesty stuff.

Anyways I got his number and got him to text me pics of the back - overall it wasn't a steal per se and I ended up spending roughly the amount of money you pay for a Little Samson Cartridge for the following two games:

And the prize:

I cannot divulge that information at this time - otherwise I would ruin the game

Is that a blue PCB action 52? Aren't those supposed to be prototypes?

Thank you very much guys, yes I intend to keep it. I'm thinking about getting it graded but still uncertain due to the lengthy wait time as well as the fact I am really .. really worried about Customs tampering with it

If you send UPS, customs won't fuck with it. Only problem is shipping is about $50 more.
