Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 2nd round of the 2017 NA Weekly Contest Year End Tournament!
16 players that ranked in the top of the 2017 leaderboard competed in the 1st round and 12 of them qualified for the 2nd round. But first, let's say goodbye to those valiant fighters that fell in combat : mbd39 – skinnygrinny – Murray - Krunch

The top seed of each group will pick the game their group will play in 2nd round, and the worst performance in each group will be eliminated. The games available for this round are :

1st seed has the first choice, then next highest seed, etc. A game cannot be picked more than twice, and if a game is played by two different groups, the two groups will morph into one group of 6 players where the 2 worst performances will be eliminated.
Rules will be revealed after every group know which game they are playing (in process).

If you have to re-start a level or boss because you did not destroy enough enemies, that counts as a Game Over. At this point, you must stop playing and take your picture. Anyone suspected of playing more of the game in the event you have to re-start a level or boss will have their score disqualified.

If you roll the score, make sure to take a picture before the roll and right after the roll. Do this for each roll of the score. If you roll the score, you need to pause the game immediately after losing your last life and take your last picture then, so we can see which loop you are on.

Tie Breaker general rule : In all cases, if two scores are identical after specific tie breaking rules, the top seeded player takes precedence.
The contest ends Sunday, 11/05/17 at 11 PM NA time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.
