Ratings key:
10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
9 - Killer fucking band.  Or artist.
8 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
7 - Very good, but not quite great.
6 - Pretty good.  More than a few songs you like.  You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area.  Or still alive.
5 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
4 - Meh.  There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
3 - Not very good.  You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
2 - Not your cup of tea at all.  Some people like this, but you are not one of them.
1 - Horrible in every way.
0 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time.  You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

7.84 - Michael Jackson
7.50 - Alice in Chains
7.23 - Earth, Wind & Fire
7.16 - Faith No More

5.57 - Ghost
5.42 - ABBA
5.31 - Madonna
5.28 - Devin Townsend

Probably my favorite band of the GRunge era. Not quite a 10, but solid 9

Solid 8 from me. Even though Layne Staley was all fucked up for their MTV Unplugged, it was still amazing.

Gave em an 8. The songs I like I really like but they have a lot of filler tracks for me. But, you can't deny the bands originality. There is no mistaking those vocal harmonies, 30 years later they still sound fresh.

Just a side note:
My band plays "Man in the Box" and are working up "Check My Brain"

Video of us playing Man In The Box (obviously the vocal harmonies are subpar)

The only song I know from them is Them Bones and only because of Guitar Hero.

Great song though so 7/10.

Can't say a single bad thing about em or anything they've done even without Layne, just saw em a few months ago and they were excellent as always.

Easily my favourite from that era.

Have a feeling these guys could take the top spot given this a forum that targets people that were of age for these guys around that time.

the first time I heard rooster was at a bar called "the hideaway" in key west by a local band. It was like 2 am. I only learned it was originally by Alice In Chains years later. I couldn't tell you another song by them.

But that song takes me right back to that bar every time and I like the song.

Not sure how to vote.

Give some of the linked songs a listen and then vote. If you liked Rooster you'll probably like their other stuff.

I will take a listen when I have a respectable amount of time to devote to it. Right now I have a three year old monkey with no tail climbing all over me and laughing in my face, like literally face to face lol

Finally a great band! AiC is almost a 10, 9.8/10. They are still on my regular music rotation. I have also seen them live multiple times with Layne and William, great show every time.

Here is a few of there best songs.

Always liked this one a lot too.

The vocal harmony between Jerry and Layne after the guitar solo is slick as hell.

Love 'em 9/10 for me. My favorite album would be Dirt.

The best band to blow up in the 90's for sure. All the albums and eps are great in their own way. Unplugged is one of the top 2 live albums of all time. Easy 10 here guys.
