Apologies if this makes more sense in Everything Else. I was recently thinking about this old Nickelodeon show from the early 90s. I loved getting up early on Saturday mornings as a kid to watch this show. In between the the typical game show questions and the greenscreen interactive gameplay, there were video challenges where contestants played contemporary video games and wagered points on whether they could reach a certain benchmark. I got curious and found a list of games featured on the show to see if there were any I might want to add to my collection. I have several of the obvious ones like Sonic and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, but there are number on the list I hadn't encountered outside the show like Monster in My Pocket, Chuck Rock, and Sol-Deace among others. Do other people remember and like Nick Arcade? Do you like the games it featured?

I pasted the list I found so you can see. Also below is a link to an episode where Joey Fatone of all people was a contestant

Holy smokes, thanks for reminding me of a show I vaguely remember that I had totally forgotten otherwise. Very cool, how many episodes did this show have?

I feel like they were always playing Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts or Legend of the Mystical Ninja.

I used to love watching this show. Most kids were terrible at the final game.

It had 84 episodes in total. According to Wikipedia that doesn't include 3 aired pilots and 1 unaired pilot.

I caught it in reruns when I was a kid and as far as I know they only replayed it at 7am on Saturdays. So I guess I can thank video games for making me a morning person.

Toki Nes is a great game. It's definately worth the price. Taito typically made good games anyway, so you can't go wrong with Toki.

Certainly a much better list of games than most other gaming TV shows that were just a bunch of Acclaim/LJN. "Wooooooooooowwwwww...! Coooooooooooooooooooool! It's Back to the Future 2 AND 3 in ONE GAME!"

Interesting how many sought after games are on there. Kickmaster, Kabuki, Gun-nac and Rockin Kats and not a Mario game in sight.

I wasn't sure if I had ever seen this show. I got a few seconds into the episode, saw the uniforms and the split colored arcade cab, and it came back to me 😀.

That is a very solid list of deep cuts and hidden gems. Few of these are big names, but almost all are good to great quality and well worth playing.

The thing I'll always remember most about this show was an episode where a kid won a game that ended up never being localized (wonder what he received instead). I kept waiting for that game to come out as a kid but it was a no show. I believe it's what was released as "Trolls in Crazyland" in Europe.
