I recently purchased a copy of The zelda of zelda Wind Waker for the gamecube. This is the greatest hits version. This one has a not for resale across the bottom that caught my interest. I'm having trouble finding information about this title such as value, rarity. I paid $30 for it at a pawn shop and am curious if I over paid. Can anyone help me? Thanks
James

You definitely didn't overpay. Any version of Wind Waker is worth more than that.

Where is this from?

I've never seen a players choice packed in with a system. Was this a Canadian release?

I was kind of thinking it might be a canadian exclusive. I don't know though. I would like any information at all about this. Ive seen a couple on ebay and the asking price is about 120ish. No history of completed auctions so I guess its a guessing game

i love how people say a value because of one listing. lol. windwaker sells easy for 60 complete. If his is a not for resale there is no way its less than 60.

^ Actually, I'd think it would sell for a bit less because it's Canadian (Canadian games usually sell for less than their American counterparts). That said, I still think this could get $40-$50. $60 for Wind Waker? Seems a little high...$35-$45 is all I see normal ones going for.

i didnt know his copy was canadian. so no idea but the US one I no very welll

go look at completed listings. probably 20-25 sold for 60-70 dollars some for 75+. gamecube stuff is killing right now, and you cant assume prices of 6-12 months ago apply anymore. Have to check up on it often. People who havent been paying attention to windwaker are missing out.

goes on and on. I coul copy paste more.

I counted.........70 more listings that have sold for 60 or more in completed listings. over 30 percent of those were auctions too not BINS so yeah this game is closer to 60-70 now. There are several listed for 50 ish but they will sell. Its not really a need to be the lowest listing to sell. As you can see 75 sales in complete for 60 or more dollars.

but canadian gamecube? didnt know there was a difference.

goes on and on. I coul copy paste 15 more but i think you get the point. its 60 now.
I'm sorting by "recent first"...that's how I'm getting my figures (seems like for every one that went for $60+, there's 8 that went for $50 or less (186 over $60 (including some that weren't just Wind Waker...some were the WW/OoT combo, some were small lots containing Wind Waker), 1570 under $50, via sold listings)).  Either way, it'll probably consistently be a $60 game soon, depending on the Wii U remake's timing.  Also, either way, he's probably going to make some money on it if he sells it

And yes, it's a general rule across all platforms (from NES all the way to PS2) that Canadian stuff sells for less.  Yeah, it's usually rarer, but most collectors want English-only, not English and French.  I dunno why...perhaps they don't want to learn French ?

yeah i counted the actual complete windwaker solds. 75 sold for 60 or more. Its been temporarily flooded a bit since then because of its now high selling price. but like i said it sells if your not the lowest BIN. probably about 20-30 percent of the ones i counted were auctions with like 15 or more bids too. This game is hot right now.

Thanks everyone for their info, I do find that Canadian games tend to sell for cheaper. Its strange because the game isn't bi lingual its just the cover that has a english and french mix. The game data seems to be the same and I can not find an option for subtitles or language default. Anyways thanks a bunch

Yea, I prefer English only cases/manuals/games compared to bi-lingual. It's just too much crammed into a small area. Look at PS3 games, you can barely read the text on the back half the time. Plus English only just looks better in general, one language, nothing more, nothing less.
