More and more million dollar coins selling nowadays. I got to hold the PR69 $20 graded by PCGS a few years back at the F.U.N. show. It sold recently for $2.7M and at the show it had a $4M price tag! Also got to hold the $5M 1913 5c at a Stack's auction in Orlando where it headlined but didn't sell. My favorite "pretending to be rich" moment was when Steve Contursi grabbed 4 coins out of his display (including his 1794 dollar that holds the #1 sale spot)and put them in my two hands and said: "Now you can say you've held 20 million dollars."

Coins are a true passion of mine, but the ever rising prices are one of the reasons I've scaled back my purchases and refocused on my game collection. The video game hobby is still reasonable in comparison

My dad is a coin collector, he bought our first house with gold sovereigns around the time I was born. I was with him today at a coin collectors summer BBQ meet. I agree we have nothing on these guys, they were selling 2012 uncirculated pennies for $5 a pair. My dad had rolls of them.

Wow, that the price. That's a beautiful looking coin, though. It would be nice to admire every now and then instead of going into a bank vault or where ever one would store these things.
