That time of the month again boys and girls, and no I don't mean the time when you female companion turns a little meaner, it is eZine time! Check your inboxes now for the latest addition. A few new contributors this month and a few new features. Good looking issue for sure. Enjoy & discuss.

As always we are looking for new articles, so if you wish to get printed give dangevin a PM.

Oh, and if you're wondering why you got the email twice (unless you're one of the mysterious folks that don't seem to get one, likely due to your ISP's spam blocking software--those bastards!), it's because we munged the link to the e-zine in the first email.

Great job as always.

The only problem is the crossword puzzle. I'm pretty sure some of the answers are wrong...

Really? Which ones?

Let me do it real quick.

edit: Yep, I flubbed up 1 down. The correct answer is, of course, Cuestick. But I put in Cueball by mistake. Sorry guys.

I did the whole thing, and all the other answers fit.

The Zelda II question is wrong as well. Seven doesn't fit into 3 blocks...

Also Baby boomer was a 2 player Zapper game...

Great issue as always, guys. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of that list of how games were factory-sealed .

PS Nick -

I didn't add those pics from your reseal manual - one of the editors did - they are great photos but I would have asked permission first if I had known.

cheers

propman mentioned being interested in writing something, but it seemed like he didn't have any solid ideas.

I spoke with him for a bit. We ran into a roadblock though, in terms of new and unique additions to the Zine. All I'm looking for are some ideas for inclusions that don't redo things that we already have regularly contributed. Either unique or well-developed knowledge about some aspect of the hobby, or a spin on some sort of creative inclusion that isn't already covered...Something new and interesting that's not a memoir or a review as those are covered.

Ideas abound, if anyone is really dead-set on getting into the Zine, go look at some other magazines. See what kind of articles make the cut and think how you could apply those ideas to the NES. They're out there, and it's like ripe strawberries, they're so easy to pick. Hell even Cosmo will probably have something you can adapt. How about a love quiz, Nintendo style?

When in doubt, rip off someone else's work. Just don't plagiarize...but there's no copyright or patent covering plain old ideas

How's about including some landmark dates/events in the History of Nintendo that correspond to the month of the e-zine article?

That's perfect, we'd even be able to include a timeline graphic with the info you mentioned for a little visual appeal. Willing to contribute?

Timeline would be great, but I think it is hard to find accurate release dates for everything. Many places just show an approximate month, and don't agree with other sources. Not saying it shouldn't be done, because the ezine is a great place for new research!

I wasn't thinking that specifically, Brian...

more along the lines of a timeline that would start in 198x and terminate in 199x and would have notable Januaries (for example) notched along it with landmarks.
