Super Buster Bros. - 77,490

I've never invested much time in Buster Bros. games and never played
Super Buster Bros before. Personally, I think Panic Mode was the most fun. Still, I find the games "okay" but not terribly compelling. I'll certainly return for a few more rounds of Super because it was kinda fun in short bursts.
Ken Griffey Jr. - (-71 runs)
Yes, you read that right. I was the Braves and
I lost to the Cubs by 71 runs. I'm not sure how I missed it but I didn't see the final box scores appear after the bottom of the 9th, so I snapped a pic of the final screen. Short of being offered money, I don't think anything could convince me to sit through that game again. 9 innings in that game felt like an eternity.
Honestly,
Ken Griffey was one of the most excrutiating experiences I've had with a video game in a long time. Even more tedious than
The Tick and even more frustrating than
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. There are actually one or two video-baseball games that I like (one of my personal favorites being
Baseball on NES). Ken Griffey was completely and utterly ruined by two factors: a) terrible view of the pitch and b) stupidly lucky AI. Seriously, the Cubs landed no fewer than 8 home runs during the game, usually at 2-3 runs a piece. Playing on offense was the only half-enjoyable part of the game...because I actually
knew where my players were and how to effectively control them. Playing on defense was absolute garbage mostly down to the fact that there's no quick or smart way to see where your outfielders are.
The music also got really old, really fast.
Ken Griffey was a stiff reminder of how often video sports can be just the worst. If I never have to play that game again, I'll die happier knowing that it can never steal any more of my time.
