wishlisted at gamerepo, and lo and behold got a few cards with "def coming over to play yr new game: mike tyson fights aliens" or "they made more final fanasies? good news for you"
anyway, i've shunned my amazon wishlist for gamerepo. and no, getting no kickbacks from coin (it's his site, right?)
anyway, love to NA!!!!
Translation:
I wasn't on because of the wild fires that are currently ravaging several valleys just north of Los Angeles, a major metropolitan city in California (a very large state in the United States of America, located on the south west of the contiguous portion of the US, bordering Oregon, Nevada, Mexico and the Pacific Ocean).
I am currently stealing (i.e. thieving, taking without asking or compensating in some way) my neighbor's (people in an adjacent building) wifi (you know, wifi) but because of the ash and particles in the air due to said wildfires (see above paragraph), the already weak signal is lost, thus stranding me from this forum on Saturday (8.29.09 - my birthday).
I logged on (from a coffee house) to share something I find personally astonishing, that if you make a wishlist (a list of things you'd like) and share it with your friends and family, they will purchase things off of said wishlist for you as presents for holidays (like Christmas, or in my case, a birthday).
(i'd like to pause now and say- wtf? u dudes don't get 'nugget of sweetness'?)
to continue, I set up a wishlist at gamereproductions.com. If you are too lazy to cut and paste the link, it's a site that takes Nintendo roms and presses them to carts. all this is applicable because the forum is dedicated to enthusiasts of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). So after sharing my wishlist with friends and family so they can buy stuff that i'm interested in (NES), I was happy to receive birthday cards (a message in folded paper) with messages that hinted at presents from my wishlist at gamereproductions!
So, since you guys are NES enthusiasts, I thought I might as well share this experience by relating my making, and sharing my wishlist (i.e. "if you build it, they will come" - a famous line from field of dreams (1989)). Since I'm happier to get NES games than books, I've shunned my wishlist on Amazon.com (check it out- they seem to have a lot of stuff) and from here on out push my wishlist on gamereproductions.
also, I'd like to relay that this message is not a shameless plug for gamereproductions.com or coinheaven, who I believe is the proprietor of the site.
lastly, I'd like to give love to the nintendoage community, who has helped my collection, and my NES knowledge grow. I'd also like to apologize if I'm playing it too fast and loose with the words, as most of you use the King's English and can't follow my pagan babblings. And please note I didn't use the word 'fuck' this entire post.
