From what I can tell, looks like RetroUSB (bunnyboy) is not planning on making more NCC 1991 carts, (think they are moving on to other things)

Soooo... Does anyone else plan on making any of these repro carts??

Thoughts?

Thanks, Zwario

1. I think Brian intends to make more NCC's as I saw him reply "yes" in a thread when someone asked, they are currently "temporarily" unavailable and have not been moved to discontinued.

2. I think he eventually intends to discontinue all reproducions, probably just selling his remaining stock at the moment.

3. Another member here has an NCC repro from retrozone for sale if you are looking to purchase.

I kinda wish the ROM would be dumped so I could have it on my PowerPak next to NWC.

Cest-La-Vie...
(whatever happens, happens...)

It seems bunnyboy, for whatever reason, is wanting to take his business in other directions. I just hope that whatever documentation he has on his products, board design, mappers, etc, gets passed on to someone who is willing and able to continue the work. Most of his stuff that I truly want, I already have. I'm still waiting for a regular release version of HBWC though. I've also got a few repros I don't want anymore, but for the moment I'll be holding onto those to see what develops with retrousb, and the fair market value is sure to go up once discontinued. I recommend to people if there are any items in the repros section that you are still on the fence about purchasing, I suggest you buy them now while they're still available, or forever hold your peace. I would especially recommend getting any of the VS carts on your wishlist now (VS "shoot-the-dog" Duck Hunt is my favorite), as no donors will ever exist for these games. Ditto for the NES/SNES competition carts.

The rom for NCC 1991 was dumped but nobody implemented/documented the special mapper it use yet. Also the dump was not really distributed that much as far as I know. I have a copy somewhere on my HDD I think.

Was it dumped from an original cart, or from bunnyboy's reproduction? If it was the latter, the game file was probably modified to work with bunnyboy's PCB design.
