Not sure what your problem has been but I love NA, appreciate the mods, and feel they are very fair. And if it makes you feel any better my threads have always been locked after use as well. I'm pretty sure the mods don't actually delete threads. So it appears to be the norm for all. Better luck on the next forum you join.

Okay...As stated earlier, threads are rarely deleted save for spam or double posts. First time I can remember it eliciting this reaction though. The thread in question didn't even ask to be deleted comically enough, but "canceled".
