The first time was about half a year after the release of Mega Man 4. The SNES was the next big thing.
One day, I went to a local trade shop and trade the following six games:
Mega Man. I traded Exodus Ultima two weeks after getting it for Xmas. I felt like a basterd because my mom spend money she didnt have.
Mega Man 4 that i played like crazy the last 6 months.
Renegade don't remember where got it but was my 2nd best right after:
Double Dragons 2:The Revenge. I got it after  my mom took me to a game store and said: Pick any one you want.
Spy Vs. Spy Went half the city on bus to get it at 20$ new and waited an hour because they couldnt find another
than the one on display. Became one of my favorite.
Phantasy Star. A b-day gift from my dad so I could stop renting it.
All of them for Super Ghouls N' Ghosts at 79.99 new but opened with 5$ discount.
All excited, I went home, threw Super Double Dragons over my shoulder and put the game and at the same time,
Turn on the T.V. Pump up the volume, sat down and saw RPM Racing at the screen. I looked at the cart. and it was RPM.
I started to cry like a baby and showed the cart. and the box to my mom and she agreed, not the same.
We went the next day to the store, only to be called a thieft for trying to swap games.
I've thrown the cart. at her face. went behind the counter and tried to take both my Mega Man thatt were marked at 54.99 each.
On an orage sticker but my mom stopped me. I cried for days and end up in a mental hospital for a month.

Second cry and more about me coming up!

You poor girl! I wouldn't dwell over it too much, but that sucks you bought a game and it was the wrong cart. As for selling back your Megaman games, I assume that was long ago, and kids do dumb things sometimes. I had Megaman 123 in my collection a couple years back but I sold them back for peanuts because I can't handle certain tough-as-nails games. I didn't regret it but I kinda wish Game-X-Change had given me a little more for them.

I cried whenever I couldn't beat "Koopa the Quick" in Super Mario 64 because he took a shortcut instead of following the main route. I also cried when I lost my level 99 Nidoqueen because I detached the cable cord from my game boy too early.

Welcome! You'll fit right in!

Ouch! I think the only time I'll cry is when I find a NWC cart in the wild. Maybe not cry, but my flight or fight instinct will kick in. I'll probably kill injure people in a 1Km radius.

That is why I am here : )
I did a ten years depression. Met many geezers after I tried to kill meself until I found one who could tell me what my problerm was:
I  am simply a collector.
I love collecting things that meant alot in my childhood.
I love to see things that I collect in mint condition.

He told me that I should write a novel about it after I find happiness again. So here I am!
I want to find happiness again. Maybe he is right.
I will write chapter 2 here so can be on my way to happiness again.

The writting on the Flintstones 2

I was a perfectionist. I didn't wanted any of my games to have a single white spot.

I'm sorry I cant stop crying

I need to talk about happier times like:
When I got into a pawn shop and found Rescue Rangers 2 and Built To Win for 5 bucks each.

LOL, I picked up a fairly gross Panic restaurant for like $4.95 earlier this year:
(you may not want to click the link)
http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/...

That game took a lot of work to refurbish, but it was worth it in the end!

Oh, and depression is not a nice thing to have. Men get it too! I suffered with it tremendously about 12-10 years ago. After my dad passed away in 2002, I discovered a CIB Nintendo Action set when we were cleaning out our garage, and I went to Game-X-change and kinda went berserk buying NES games. Mario Bros, Duck hunt, and all those other wonderful games gave me something to do besides mope about all day. Simple hobbies that give people joy and something to pursue are a great start towards ending depression. That, a lot prayer and counseling, and my new girlfriend Paula whom I started dating in February 2003, and we're still together to this day.

I've passed the last few days at a friend's place and I feel better now
I will write a shorter version of that chapter of my life.
The long version is too painful.

The Writting on the Flintstones 2

I'm sure a few of ya wins their lives buying and selling games.
I used to do that and I was often called a bitch for being good at it.
I met a guy on the internet. Been chating for a few months, made a few trades.
One day, he showed me a picture of two games:
The Flinstones and Stadium Events with the box and manuel in very good condition.
Along with his face. This is where I gonna make it short.
The guy went to my home, gave me what I wanted, gave him want he wanted.
Went to the bathroon with The Flintstones to make a number 2.
I wanted to read the manuel.
I told myself "this game is never leaving my hands".
I wrote my name on the back of the cart with a sharpie.
A few minutes later, two guys broked in. One with a shotgun.
They raped me and took most of my best pieces.
Filled with rage, I paid a bounty hunter 20K cash to bring his ass to me.
I was happy to meet that prick again along with my sledgehammer.
At the trial, I got declared insane and the guy got 12 years of prison.
I know I must write about it but it's very hard for me.
I will stop for now but I have to ask:
Does any one have my cart. with my name on it?
I don't want it back. I just wanna know, is it in a collector's hands?

Thanks for all the good words.
I may not know you...but...I...love...you

Ouch! So sorry to hear that. My condolences to you...

P.S. - Being a male, I've never understood how so many other men could be so heartless. I've had many female friends and aquantances tell me horror stories of what men have done to them. It breaks my heart every time to hear stories of the fairer gender being treated this way.

BTW, cheer up; it's out there somewhere!

^Empty Giromite cart shell I harvested for the Famicom adapter. Hopefully my fiance don't see this one; it's hard to explain stuff to her, LOL!
