Ha, yeah, I gave it another quick try, and while I was pacing a lot better by taking advantage of "vertex" based clearing, focusing too much on combos and too little on rapidly clearing the screen didn't really work out.

I think I've figured out at what point in the game I should switch from focusing on combos to pure survival. So hopefully I will put this game to rest this evening.

32 levels we have to slog through? I think I made it to 17 or 18 this afternoon and died by letting the screen get filled up. Gonna need more than concentration to clear this game. Lots of endurance will be needed to keep from falling asleep.

I really enjoy this game. For those of you who didn't enjoy it I recommend playing 2 player. It's fun to steal their kreatures they are using to build a line. What I don't understand is the "Hints", one says something about 2 people being able to pick up to stragglers. Never been able to do it, or any of the other "Hints". I am not sure I have discovered the best strategy for a high score, but this is what I got for now, and I intend to push it.

Game wasn't as bad as I initially thought. Wound up having some fun with it. Biggest hurdle for me was moving fast enough to not get a Game Over on level 21. After that, the rest of the game isn't so bad as long as you're thinking on your feet.

Okay everyone, it's prize time! The prize this time around is a PAL game and it's Kick Off. The prize this time around comes courtesy of Vectrex280996 (Thanks Vec!) and works great! However, this game will only work on systems that play PAL games, so it will not work on a front loading NES. I tested it on my Retro Duo Portable and I had no problems getting it to work. If you have been looking to start a PAL collection of NES games, or already have a collection of them, the winner will not be disappointed. Here is a picture of the game:

The drawing will work the same as last week. I will assign everyone a random number and use a random number generator to pick the winner. To make things fair, Balloon_Kid will be exempt from this drawing since he won Fester's Quest last week. Also, Vectrex280996 will be exempt since I know he doesn't want to win his game back Here are the numbers:
