This is regarding the in-game font for Faxanadu.  I had noticed this when I got my cart immediately.  The rom uses a sort of bold, fancy font.  My cart, however, uses a more easily readable font resembling Courier.

I was just wondering if there were different Faxanadu games released.  I have a screenshot comparison picture linked below.  The one on the right looks just like my cart's font, but it's from a PAL rom, which I know I don't have.

Any info on this mystery?

Yep, There was a revision A of Faxanadu. The screenshot on the left is the original version and the right is the revision. It would make sense that the PAL version would be based off 'A' because it was released later.

If you flip your cart around, take a close look at the top-right corner of the caution label. Near the text 'Rev-A', there should be an 'A' impressed into the label.

Ah, yeah.  That's there.  Darn.  I thought I might have a "rare" version of the game or something. 

Well you might, some revisions are very hard to come by. I actually dumped this cart (both versions) and the RevA had never been dumped before.

Yeah, I actually noticed that RevA wasn't dumped anywhere publically.  When I got the cart, I just saw "Faxanadu + manual", so that sounded good to me!  Only $1.04.
