Basically as high as you can get, I know it because my brother and I used to play this game no continue when we were little.  That's basically killing everyone with uppercut and/or knee right there, maybe getting in a punch or two before the ole knee is let loose.

It's possible to score at least 35,000 higher than this score.  I've done it many times before.  The trick is to use the spin kick as much as possible because it doesn't kill the enemies as quickly as the uppercut or knee.

My NES collection count: 757 games (16 to go for a full set)

Latest Purchase(s): Snow Brothers

i took the picture 2 or 3 spin kick attacks before i killed the boss. the ending flash is too fast for me to react to with a camera. i def. saw 119k but no picture means no proof. maybe i'll try and record it and pause the video or something.  118,350

Hmm, have to see tha tmyself.  I wouldn't try the spin because you often find the enemies ducking it and end up getting hit more than you'd like.

154,700 (MY SCORE DOES NOT COUNT)

I missed the 2nd place score in Twin Galaxies by 20 points!!  Anyway, this was my highest scoring run ever on Double Dragon 2 and I got this score by mostly using the spin kick.  I had to uppercut some of the Abobos because they were ducking too many times, so I lost some points there since the uppercut is stronger than the spin kick.  I died in the 4th level at the end when you're fighting the Abobo with the white pants because I got too greedy for points.  I kept trying to spin kick him where there's the opening in the ceiling, but he punched me down almost every time, so I just used the uppercut after he killed me.

Why wouldn't it count?! You are playing by the same rules as everyone else. And damn you Gnarl. Gonna send some Abobos over there and break your fingers if your score keeps increasing.

Hey Gnarl,I've found a strategy that seems to work pretty well on the Abobos. Basically you jump over them to their other side, then hit them with an uppercut. It's been working for me anyways. Occasionally you'll "tie" and he'll land a punch, but you'll also connect with your uppercut. Hopefully that helps.

For the Arnolds you can jump towards them and lay out the cut or knee.  For the Chin versions, if you are able to move up and down (like in the helicopter), do that and then jump and lay out the cut or knee after you land, gets them every time.

Of course my strategy doesn't work for the Abobo at the spiked ceiling. I try to use your Arnold strategy, but that particular A-butthole is very throw happy.

the the abobo in the hallway, i spin kick in the open area in the middle and land with the uppercut. sometimes it trades, sometimes it beats him clean. it depends on where Abobo is when you spin kick. sometimes you'll even get lucky and the spin kick will hit him.

@gutsman: Even though I played under the rules of the contest, my score won't count for the contest or leaderboard since I am the host of the contests. It would seem weird for me to play for prizes I bought myself

The cut does.  Purposefully hit the ceiling and you'll land in a nice spot in front of them, then lay out le cut.  Doing this seems to negate the Chin Abobo's ability to toss.

If you win, just have a random drawing for the prize....like with the Skull and Crossbones cart.. And can't TG employees submit scores of their own? If they can do that,I think your score should count. Even if they can't,your score should still count.

Tried it,didn't seem effective. Had better success with the spinning kick and get him with the cut if that misses although that didn't work very well either. Maybe I bought too cheap of a controller as a lot of the time I hit the buttons for a move and it doesn't work. Wish I had the cart for this. I know my nes controllers work great. Still trying to figure out these 130k+ scores. Maybe Stan's right....photoshop! I knew it! Damn cheaters!

Need to work that cut Megs!  Come on now.  Stand up on the track right above where your Bimmy is right now.  When Arnold jumps up, jump onto the first pipe, cut that mother.  Move around and repeat, he can't hit you unless he's in line with you.
