So, i want to order a bouquet of 24 roses shaped into a heart in the way that you can hold them in your hand and they wont fall apart. I called over 20 different flower shops, only 2 are willing to do this. One price is $320 something and another is $170.

Should i buy it and surprise my wife, or forget it get some flowers for $40. Will my wife kill me, because when she will see it obviously it won't like like something from Grocery store or regular bouquet?

That's romantic and all, but damn dude 170$ for flowers that will just die, and faster than a regular bouquet that can go in a vase...

While I understand why they're charging so much to guarantee what you're asking for... that is WAY more than I'd spend on something transient like flowers.

Get her the cheaper flowers and spend the rest on a nice necklace with a heart on it or something like that. That way, instead of it being a memory of something sweet you did that one time, she can be reminded of the sweet thing you did every time she opens her jewelry box or wears it.

The jewelry is already been bought.

It's times like this that I'm so glad my wife doesn't give two shits about Valentine's Day.

If you already bought her a nice present then spring for the cheaper flowers. I am sure she wont mind, they are just going to die eventually anyway.

Just go to michaels or some other craft store and build your own rose heart, and they are plastic so will last forever! and can reshape for upcoming holidays. Rose heart, rose turkey, rose easter egg

Way too much dude. Like WAY too much.

Either make your own out of fake flowers, which is way more romantic and thoughtful. Plus will last longer.

Or just go with a classic set of roses and come up with another creative idea.

Last year i made this for my fiance who loves beauty and the beast. Homemade stuff always wins. Cost me 30 bucks and like a few hours of my time.

Use that $ on a fun night go. You can get a great dinner and see a movie or something else for $170. My wife would be pissed if I spent that much on flowers.

Yeah my girlfriend would kill me if I spent that on flowers. But she doesn't like them, or Valentines day for that matter. We're just going out to dinner, we don't get much time just us two so it'll be nice

Holy crap dude. Seems a bit excessive. I've got a standard system for Valentine's Day. Chocolates, a bunch of flowers, and a cuddly teddy. Happy girl every year. We've got a system where the only 'holiday' where we really buy each other something big and expensive is birthdays. Dropped like $350 on a painting last year.

Make something for her? Cook something? Some flowers will help in case your cooking skills are not up to par.

I'm lucky like these guys except it's the girlfriend, not wife. Makes life so much easier! However, I did show her that homemade rose thing Magus made and she said that it was pretty awesome. Magus, you could have made a killing selling these if NA members had known about this a week or two ago

Personally I like to make custom things myself for Valentines day(it's a lot of fun too!) I once cut out pictures of our faces and put them on a pack of Batman and Joker valentine day cards(with our faces over Batman/Joker) with rhymes on the back about how we met and our previous dates and such. Also throwing in a nice dinner, and a little chocolate or whatever couldn't hurt either

Not even that much!   Sweetest Day either.

Her birthday is the day before Valentine's Day so it is a little difficult to find stuff that isn't VD themed.

Dood, if I find a girl something VD themed I'd be forever alone.
