So hello folks, see you in many posts!

Oh, and for some strange reason, it says the author picture I uploaded is too large... but its 20kb and 80x80!  I guess I suck at the internet..

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

I am in the same boat. I had the Sega Master System years before I got an NES (on clearance , I think). Who really makes the choices? It's not the kids. I have love for all 8 and 16 bit goodness.

You forgot a "nearly." Sega is not *nearly* as cool.

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Anyone who is into video games is ok in my book.... but you're right, Sega isn't *nearly* as cool (though I slightly biased!). Although I really did like some of the games on the Dreamcast (ie, Soul Caliber).

The DC was a HUGELY underrated system. Some of the best times I had when I was 18-20 were when I was playing Dynamite Cop, Spawn, or Royal Rumble with one of my friends who also happened to be unemployed at the time

-------------------------

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

And Lunar 1/2.  They are good enough alone to buy the sega cd system.  Despite all the criticism, it actually has quite a few good titles.
