Did they ever even seal earthbound?  I thought they were closed up but never sealed.  Maybe I am wrong?

^^ I don't think so, come to think of it. I actually have half-decent memories of seeing it at Best Buy, and noticing the sheen of the cardboard, sans-cellophane. It's "system box" quality, for those who've never seen one in person.

LOL, I've dated girls for long periods of time and can't remember their eye color while we're dating, but I remember something like that... that's fucked up!

Haha!  Thats hilarious dude!  Yeah those boxes were for sure not sealed, those nice sturdy boxes.  But there was a display only box for EB.  I have one and it is one of the small boxes.  I guess it is possible that it was sent to the stores sealed maybe?  Im sure it would be impossible to find one if they did, but who knows?  Plus, I know the guide didnt come in there since its way bigger than the box, but maybe there was some sort of small manual?  I have been wondering about this for awhile now.  Anyone know?

Nah I've got a real memory of them in the day behind the counter/glass because they were open box in the same way the SNES itself was. No shiny plastic wrap, no stupid stickers, just the sturdy cardboard and it's flappy latch goodness.

Haha, thanks!  Is SegaAge worth checking out?  It never appealed to me as much as NES/SNES... I never seem to wanna hang on to much Sega stuff for the long haul like I do with Nintendo stuff.

EDIT: Bored at work, I just opened SegaAge for the first time, realized it was a lot of the same people and their feedback was mostly about Nintendo games and just logged in over there..... um, is there a spot on this site that mentions this?!  I've been on this site for a long-enough time that I'd think I'd know this, wtf?!

OK, so.... these aren't videogames.  They're Transformers.  But you know what?  These are really hard to find like this, and worthy of this thread.

Trypticon - boxed, complete (missing manual and styro)
Metroplex - boxed complete (missing manual)
Ultra Magus - complete (missing manual)

^^  Thanks, dude!

I just got another sweet system, pictured below.  For this, I traded an NES with Mario 1, 2 & 3 and a glacier GBA with Super Mario Deluxe.  That's it.  Yay, me!!

Dammit dude I was trying SO hard to get that!!! Congratulations!!! (I'm assuming it's the guy from Ellwood City, or somewhere up that way?) He just absolutely refused to meet me in Robinson, even though I was driving way further.

My girlfriend snagged a loose one for me at a flea market last weekend, but do you have any interest in trading/selling me one of the controllers???

DUDE, that mf'r does NOT leave Elwood City. This was so annoying to snag... I'm from New Castle, but hate visiting home, and sent my buddy over there to do the trade for me. The dude walked to meet my friend in the rain, with no bag or anything and my friend, knowing I'm a box whore, cleaned this up with rags he had in his truck. The box has some light water damage from being stored under a dripping window air conditioner in the past. It was all-in-all kind of annoying, really, but I gave up on collecting N64 last year "unless I could find a boxed funtastic system", so I guess I got what I wanted... which brings me to the controller - how about not right now but maybe? I was actually genuinely excited it had a matching set of 2, and I've sold my coolest N64 controllers in the previous months so I do want to keep these together for the moment. If I decide to get rid of one, you'll be the first to know!

What flea market was that that is kickin already?! I have been FEIGNING for yard sales or a flea market. I hate this time of year!!

Wow what a douche. Glad you got it, though!

The flea market she's been going to is at Trax Farms...it's right down Rt 88 between Finleyville and Library (near South Park). She said the two younger guys that sell games at Trader Jack's have been there selling stuff. She snagged that N64 for me for $20...tried to get them to go $15 but they weren't moving.

So, I was working out a local trade of all kinds of randomness for some CIB Sega Master System games.  I didn't know what I was getting, but figured I'd need most of it for my collection.  Between initially talking to this person and finally getting together, I had decided I wasn't going to collect any SMS or Genesis games anymore, but figured I'd take it anyway since I hadn't even begun to sell anything yet.  (Actually, I sold one game, and wish I had it back now, lol).  Once I realized I got the hardest SMS game out of the way by chance, and since I have a CIB SegaScope set I got last summer by chance, I decided I will continue to collect for the Master System.

Are any of those dupes? I need a few of them...and no, I'm not talking about Buster Douglas What did all that stuff cost you?

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I have these doubles available now:  Space Harrier, Thunder Blade, Zaxxon 3-D, Rambo III, Hang On/Safari Hunt.

I traded a TurboGrafx System with 4 or 5 games, a few Genesis controllers, a Wii controller, and a 360 controller.  The deal was for 20 or so SMS CIBs, not taking into consideration the one title.  I didn't know any of the game titles before we met up, and I was not on the hunt for it, but feel the need to keep it since it "found me".  Kollecting Karma, ya know?!

That makes three of us trying to get it.  I just started up a trade with Antonio, and found out he scored it.  I told the guy that I would meet up at his house and he wouldn't budge.  Glad that a fellow collector got it.
