OK, I gave it a few tries. I used to play this game a lot on the TI-85, but it's been a LONG time...

5829 points. Basically I was thwarted by that weird purple blob thing, but beat the other three ice levels and killed pretty much every bad guy I came across.

Oh man, the ice world is hard as piss. I give up before I end up breaking something.

Final score: 2324

Well I figured out how to beat the blob things, but died enough times trying that my final score didn't beat what I have posted. I wish I had the opportunity to give this game a little more attention, but oh well, maybe some other time.

Here's mine.  Made it to the volcano area and got wrecked.  First time I ever played this game was because of the contest and I really enjoyed it.  Makes me realize why this era of gaming is so much more fun to me than any other due to the challenge of the games.  I'll be playing this one for sometime now.. apparently there's 4 different world maps to conquer (yikes!).

Nice one! Is that just into the 3rd world, or beyond?

I think I would have broken 7k finishing up the 2nd world, but I've never played past that to see what the scoring potential was like.

I'm surprised you got that high of points so early in the game, I didn't break 7k until the water level or so.

Here's mine. Man, lucky my internet finally came back. It's been spotty for the last hour. Made me worried

I liked this game... then I played for 7.5 hours. Now I don't like this game. The worlds loop after you beat the 6 Worlds. In world 6, you pretty much can't lose, because every level you get like 5k+ points, which equals 2 and a half extra lives.

Okay, I just finished my game and I thought I was in the course, looks like it is only good for the 2nd place...

Lol, I meant third place I guess.

Anyway, I discovered in the end that there was a place to rack points infinitely, so 1000000 was easily possible but so boring...

I did a similar tech, but in world 6-1 and 6-4. You get like 5.5k per level by the things you kill, so it adds up a little faster and gives some cushion for mistake as well.

I felt myself fraudulous doing a few points racking like that, that's the kind of game that should have been set for a farthest run contest, maybe... IMO

It still takes skill and wit to figure out little loops and stuff, so despite it being cheesy, its valid for a high score competition.

Plus there is always the bore-factor too. Its gets BORING haha

If I had more time to play before I found that loop (found it at 9:15 pm east time approx), maybe I would have recorded a ridiculous score of 999 9XX in world 2-1.

Anyway, congrats to everyone, and lets make our mind up for the next contest.

and, for my loop I did have to beat the game to get to it, so it really wasn't that easy.

Its very easy to screw up in this game too. So even if you find a little loop, your bound to screw it up sooner or later.

Indeed, doing it in world 6 is simply better than anyone did so you deserve the golden palm in every way.

But, if a clown had come up with a ridiculous score made in world 2-1, hahaha

Is there enough time on the clock in 2-1 to kill all 8 enemies?  I killed 4 of them and then rushed to get the 4 gems and exit.
