Once again, we're trying to collectively beat every licensed US game on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Each game is worth a certain number of points, based on how long it's taken them to complete over the past five years. Generally, the harder a game is, the more points it's worth, although rarity, length, and quality play a role as well.

- For 2019, 10 bonus points will be awarded for the "champion" of each of the top 30 NES publishers. See post below for details!

Rules

Post the games you've beaten in this thread. No cheat codes or level selects, obviously. No turbo controllers either - just play the game legit. We're using the honor system here, so no pics or anything required (although they are encouraged). Emulators are ok too (no save states/frame skip/cheats). Using continues or passwords is fine as well, as long as the entire game was beaten in this calendar year. However, you may not use any codes unless they were given to you by the game itself or the manual. So no continuing in Arkanoid or Ikari Warriors, for example.

If a game has no ending and just repeats the same stages, then we'll consider it beaten once you get to the point where it repeats and also beat the high score if there is one. I posted a list of what constitutes beating many of the less obvious games (see further down this page), so check that out or ask here if you're unsure. It's not necessary to get every ending or play on the highest difficulty (with a couple of exceptions where you don't play the full game otherwise).

All games must be played entirely in 2019 from start to finish.

Conditions for Victory

This is an incomplete list of what our standards are for completing the NES games that don't have normal endings. Also, there are some clarifications even for games that do have a clear end point. If you're uncertain about something, please post in the thread. It's also a good idea to check out TASvideos and speedruns.com for some games.

1943	Must completely destroy final battleship to beat the last level.
10 Yard Fight	Win the Super Bowl
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Hillsfar	Finish the game with one of the characters
Adventures of Dino Riki	Loops after level 4-4
Air Fortress	Similar to Ghosts 'n Goblins game must be played through twice to reach the credits.
All Pro Basketball	Must play 35 games and beat each team 3 times
Anticipation	Win a game versus the computer
Arch Rivals: A Basket Brawl!	Win a single game
Archon	Win or draw versus the computer (same credits sequence either way).
Arkanoid	Must beat without using continue code. Warp code allowed (mentioned in manual). Probably impossible to beat without a Vaus controller.
Arkista's Ring	Must complete four loops to get to the ending.
Athletic World	Obtain a degree for finishing a round with a good enough score
Balloon Fight	Beat the high score in both 1 player and balloon trip modes

Tetris	Beat 9-5 on B-type, and the high score on A-type
Tetris 2	Start on level 30 (to make it faster). Keep playing until you reach "The End" and the game goes back to the title after level 80
Three Stooges	Get at least $5,000 to get the worst ending. You can deliberately game over once you have the money and you'll still get the ending.
