So, having beaten this Tiny Toon Adventures without dying, what more could I do but up the stakes, beat it without dying using Buster Bunny only. Since he don't have any unique skills, the game, particularly certain spots, is a bit harder, plus I ended up getting stuck fighting Duck Vader, which I'm surprised I got out of that battle alive, I was actually going to try to avoid him, but its better that I did fight him, so I can say that I went through it all. Took a pic, my score was higher than my last no deaths run, but I forgot the sign, by the time I remembered, the instant I taped it up to the tv and flashed the pic, all it got was a black screen, fuck. As it was I took the first pic too early, wanted to get Buster and Babs on screen at the end, instead got a curtain only, doh. Oh well, will post the pic I have anyway (even if it don't count) as well as the video of gameplay, it was a good play through.

Awesome videos, Megan.  They gave me some some good tips on how to get through some troublesome spots.

I propose no using warps as well (otherwise you can keep redoing level 1 by letting Elmyra catch you)

Doesn't getting caught count as a life lost?

Oh, thank you bimmy lee, glad that watching the video helped you out somewhere in it.

Well, it doesn't take a life, it just sends you back to the start... But it should count for our purposes I think

Ah, I never paid any attention to that, that I never lost any lives when she got hold of me. Yeah, I certainly agree with you, getting caught by Elmyra should be a no-no. Wonder if the others that haven't posted their scores yet have been taking advantage of her to rack up points.

I agree too, if you get caught by Elmyra, then it should be like losing a life, otherwise someone could rack up points by continuously playing stage 1.

Awesome. Finally another score added. Keep at it roadrunner, I'm sure you'll be able to rack up something higher next time, and the time thereafter.

Okay, this is the best I've been able to do so far.  I keep messing up at various parts in the pirate ship, probably because I'm trying to rush through the level too fast or getting too nervous or something.  Stopped playing after only a few tries yesterday because all the cheap shots were getting on my nerves, so I should be able to do better if I can just concentrate more.

The pirate ship was one of the harder stages for me at first, same thing with the pirate boss. Yeah, you're probably making the same mistakes that I was at the start, impatience, slow down, look at how enemies move and attack, remember where traps are, it still might take you a bit, but you'll eventually perfect this stage.

Good to see a few scores.
I agree about forbidding Elmyra's warp-back, naturally.

That's ok if my score doesn't count, i'm just playing for fun. Isn't that what these contests should be about fun.
I don't have a digitial camera, so i can't put my name in the picture. A screenshot from the emulator is all i can post.

I reallly developped a love\hate relationship with this game  during the week, and now I'm very happy it is over for me. I never played the game before the contest, and achieved my best score this afternoon:

Died during the battle against Max Montana. I was trying to rack up maximum points by beating the crap out of the moving coins, since beating the boss itself doesn't reward you with points, that's cheap.

Waiting for the next contest!

Not me, I wasn't even playing the game for score, just to beat it without dying, once I achieved that I put the game away and played the second Tiny Toons, then Bucky O'Hare since I missed out on that one during the contest. But I did look for ways to increase score more, such as using Plucky in the first stage to continuously hop on those rats, 100 points a single enemy killed, 800 points thereafter for each consecutive one killed without touching the ground, score goes up pretty quickly, much like SMB3 Raccoon Mario Goomba hopping. But I don't like playing like this though, takes all the fun out of the games, while neat to find these things, it gets monotonous after a few minutes of doing the same thing over and over again, kind of a lame way to build score, at least to me. Much like how I racked up and rolled the score over in Snake Rattle 'n Roll, but I figured then, if I didn't do it, then someone else would have, but I'd prefer not to play a game like that again, looking to keep moving forward.

^ It was really both for me

I did the Plucky thing you mentioned on level 1, 2, and 3, but then the best way to get points was time (100 points per second) so I speed ran the rest of the levels (until I died in that silly stage where you collect dolls?).

Actually I tested out to see what would be more point beneficial, got a ton more points with the Plucky Raccoon Mario repeated stomping trick than with speed running through a stage. I just chose to stick with playing a normal game, no deaths was more important to me, and this was my opportunity for that since it'll probably be 6 more years or so before I ever get around to playing it again.

Oh, those are dodo birds. That stage can either be super easy, using Plucky, or quite difficult, without Plucky. And the one character you don't want to be is Dizzy, stupid guy can't run 'n slide to make it under the small gap where the last dodo is, made me lose using him.
