Guys! I just found a KOTM2 prototype! I was pursing Play'N'Trade when I found a newly traded in KOTM2 proto! The guy didn't know what it was so he gave it to me for $5! Here are some pics:

that pic is too blurry to see anything. 99.9% of protos don't have cases. carts with generic text and/or handwritten labels. Got a pic of the cart itself?

Yeah what they said. Pics, lots of clear well lit pics.   Also this may be better in the proto section.

I took a look at my copy to compare, and it seems legit to me. Here's a picture so that you can see for yourself:



Obviously, if they aren't identical, they're extremely similar. Congrats!

yep, a proto should not even have a label

Note: back of the case says REPROGRAMED

But also says licenced

Am I the only one who noticed the insanely huge Sonic the Hedgehog box? Maybe its a proto as well?

SNK programmed the Arcade game of the same name, Takara did the port.  Kinda like how Capcom made Ghosts N Goblins for the Arcade, and Mic(h)ronics did the NES port.

Yeah man, it's very rare.

In order to play that game, I had to make a Japanese PSN account and buy a Japanese PSN money card since it is only available to download on the Japan marketplace.  

Very strange, but awesome game.

Maybe just my bad eye sight, looks like that sonic box is wider than most genesis boxes.  Oh well, back to the subject at hand.
