Any ideas on what the 2011 Club Nintendo Platinum Reward will be?

I'd be willing to bet that they are just going to make another cheap plastic trophy.

I want a Game & Watch like they got in Japan!

I'd love to see something better than the hat but on par or near as nice as that trophy as a stand out. I wish I got that trophy, they screwed up and I got hosed on a technicality...still mad about it, but not mad enough to pay $35 people are asking here for it.

I do know I don't forget being burned, so unless it's a fantastic prize I won't go for it and hold it for the following since the codes don't expire and the points roll over.

World Class Track Meet for Nintendo DS

I'd love to nab something actually useful as a gamer. A controller, an exclusive G&W collection, etc. Hats and trophies just don't do it for me.

I agree on that. I personally have only used my COIN so far there to get both the Game and Watch collections.

I'd love to see a collection game as the 2011 Platinum Reward, like the Zelda Collection Disc on Gamecube.

Aside from that, I'd also like to see these as regular rewards (Club Nintendo Europe & Japan already have them):

(1) SNES Classic Controller
(2) MK Wii Gold Wheel
(3) Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 Soundtrack

I'd like these too. I'm kind of wondering why they didn't think to put them over here to begin with. For the 2011 Platinum Prize I'm not quite sure, a Gold Mario Trophy would be cool.

Yup, I forgot about the little Mario gold trophy Club Nintendo Japan got. I definitely want that too...it's a nice little piece...

Oh, and those Mario, Luigi, Wario and other Gamecube controllers Club Nintendo Japan released in the past. Wow, would I love to have those...or even Wiimotes with similar designs tailored to individual Nintendo characters! That would be great.

In all actuality, when you have both of them, the hat is far cooler than the trophy. The trophy does look cooler in pics though.

Yeah, they got a bunch of cool things which makes sense but they should have gave us some of those things, at the very least give us the CDs for the games.

They probably wouldn't do it but a motion activated figure of Mario tipping his hat or something like that would be pretty cool.

If I hadn't sold the hat to someone here a few months ago I'd trade you if you had it.  I know the trophy is quite small, but it's the detailing and what's on it that I like, and it would rock as a cool desk toy on my work space.

Mainly #1....Sprung $45 on a hell of a deal for one of the Japanese Super Famicom ones and would love to get a second. Europe is supposedly getting them as well, why are we always the last to get stuff :-(

Barring that, the Mario/Luigi/Wario GC controllers, or the Luigi hat Japan got a while ago.

The Club Nintendo Mario Hat was kind of a waste cause you can buy one that's just as good for under $20.00

If I got to pick, I would want an exclusive controller or game. I think it is more likely to be some cheap figurines.

Mario items have had their fun, now it's the 25th anniversary of Zelda and this years prize better be Link related!

I haven't really seen much of the 25th anniversary stuff for the Zelda Series. We need some damn ZELDA!

Well, I'm not sure if you guys have seen this already (probably have), but the awards for 2011 have been announced and aren't all that exciting.
The Platinum reward for the US is the same as what CN Japan received last year. I was really hoping for something as cool as the figurine from 2010 since I missed out on that one.



I went ahead and ordered the buttons. At least they are of the classic style SMB characters.
Why there is no Zelda themed Awards on the 25th anniversary is a bit strange though.
I wonder if Club Nintendo Japan is going to get something Zelda themed this year.
