I like the drawing! I think it could look pretty good as a label if it had a proper background. I'll see if I can do some Photoshopping on it later on.

EDIT: BTW, is 525x700 the biggest resolution version you have? It would be good to have a higher resolution...

I think Photobucket must have resized it, because the image in that URL is only 768x1024.

and I also did this...

original ------------------------------------------------------------------------my version (new)

I didn't want to change a lot about the position, more like fixing-re'doing the sprite... hope you like it, and if you want to use it, go ahead!

It looks good, but it's not easy to change the image because it's composed from both background AND sprite tiles. It took a lot of time to fit the image into NES color limitations as it is (thanks to Bananmos for helping out with that!). But we'll see.

Here's a quick mockup I threw together. It's far from perfect, but I think it at least proves that this style could work if done well enough.

I tried once more to make it look good but didn't really succeed, I guess I'm just not good enough with Photoshop. The thing is, I think the drawing you made is pretty good, but I would like it to look less like it was drawn/colored with pencils. I wonder if that's doable without retracing the entire image manually...

I believe it can be added a new layer to add a few colors and outline to make it look more sharpened (if that's the word)... if I have time, I would try it, but I'm kinda limited on time and have a few things to finish for a Megaman X hack

did this

I just got my cart in. The game is tough as nails but at least with the infinite lives and plentiful respawn points, I can work with that. No getting killed and starting back at the beginning, or making it to the lext level, dieing, and being greeted with a game over screen and starting over. Some NES games were really unfair like that.

BTW, you've got infinite lives but there's also "death counter" in the game too, so if you die 300 times, think twice before you brag about beating it. I made it to the cieling and falled my way down down down, and went through a number of control rooms, and some clowns throwing pies back and forth impeded my progress. Never made it to the escape pod yet. I left the game on pause to resume later, but curiosity got the best of me and I reset the NES to sample the other games on the multicart!

Well, I can say some of the games I've tried so far are pretty cool. Of the games featured, I only had prior firsthand experience with Slappin' Bitches (they removed "bitch" from the title in the menu). Overall, I'd say this is by far a better collection that Action 52 or even Maxi-15.

There's also a PONG clone and some demos that utilize the Zapper in a very unorthodox manner. I'm not going to spoil it but you have to see to believe!

@ Stardust - Oh there's a death counter. After you heat the game itn tell how many timed you've got killed by each enemy along w some other stats. I actually didnt find the game overbearly difficult. I thought it was refreshing and I loved the physics. I love the concept of the streemers and using it to get by obstacles.

The mutlicart as a whole is fantastic. Navigation is easy and the content is excellent. For anyone on the fence, $40 for the amount of content you get for the money is peanuts.

FYI, the death counter is capped at 255. I really should have made the counter 16 bits instead of 8, but oh well.

LOL. I believe the Battle Kids both used a 16-bit counter. I had nearly 200 deaths before I left it on pause to take a break. I was going to resume it later, but I was tired so I reset the game in order to sample the other stuff on the Action 53 cart. I had made it to the roof and was dropping through the levels looking for the escape pod. I went through several more control rooms so I'm not sure how far I had left. I stopped playing when I got trapped by some clowns in a narrow vertical corridor throwing pies back and forth. Had I continued slogging through, I would have hit that 255 limit before long. I'll give it another whack later!

I still kinda wish there was a way to jump over ground enemies without using the grapple hook.

Has anyone uploaded a speedrun yet? (even better if it's TAS) That would be epic to watch!!!
