Oh, also related to Lynels.
Possible spoiler:
It helps a little to get the lynel mask. They won't recognize you as a threat at first, but don't think that you can walk around all you want. He will figure it out after a minute and start kicking your ass again. It's fun wearing the mask and Link even holds his arms out like the Lynel which is funny. All of the monster mask are funny to use.
Where do you get the mask? I finally found the secret Guerdo shop with the password that let me buy the Radiant Set, which now I wish I didnt sell all my damn luminous stones. I knew I would eventually need them, but I have been trying to not use a guide for things like that...only for the complex shrine or dungeons with crazy puzzles. I have never even tried to fight a lynel.
Since you asked, I will tell you, but obviously spoiler ahead.
There is a guy named Kilton who runs a shop that specializes in monster parts. You have to complete a side quest before you can visit his store, but once you do, you can buy all sorts of stuff from him, including a unique armor set, a unique horse bridle and saddle set, and of course all of the monster masks, plus a few other things. Of course, he doesn't take rupees. You have to sell him your extra monster parts for mon (his currency) and use the mon to buy all of his stuff. However, he gives pretty good prices for common monster parts. It didn't make me very long to buy everything he has for sale, and I never had to "farm" for monster parts. I just used what I had acquired during the game. But of course, that will depend on how much you've been selling your monster parts.
