Nice scores guys. bumped me right out of the top five. If I was not at Portland yesterday I could have been a contender. No worries.
Congrats all

Wouldn't you be 5 right now? Of course many haven't posted their top scores yet.

Either way, anything above 200k means you are pretty darn good on one life, especially if its the first time picking up the game.

Man, we're all so close!!
I'm so happy to top you guys in this dummy game. That was this run or nothing. I think my 2nd best attempt was like 550,000ish.

Here's my final score for this week.  Thanks Christian, and Tonya initially for setting the bar high.  This was literally my last run.  One before it came up just short when I saw your score.

1,223,200

Note the level and lives left.

The game starts at leve 32 and counts down, so I was at level 30.

Here is when I looped it, snapped a pic at the end of the level.

Wow Mog only a 400 point difference. I just tried again and died around 800,000. That was a few hours ago but I'm never playing this game again.

I can easily resume my experience with this game: You must be IN THE ZONE!

You're out a few seconds and it's either a close call, or you're out for good.
Man, even with the retreat option, you can't really anticipate everything coming at you.

Yeah, man I know I can complete this on one life, so I guess I'm not done yet.

I was flying so high after passing 1.2 that I just got to where I was shaking too much to finish it out. I started this run shortly after seeing your final run, The high one before it was just a few thousand short of yours.

I know my spincter muscles got a workout for sure.

haha man, intense competition this week, with intense scores!

also, I'm curious if anyone has got over 95% accuracy? 95% gives you 20k bonus, I'm wondering what 100% gives you (100k?)

Highest I got as 96 or 97% If you want a higher percentage, you must kill yourself, to set yourself back to kill more planes.

On some levels 100% isn't even possible. So basically within the confines of the rules this week, so no one should have been able to get 100%

I knew you were going to fight it all through to repeat your 1943 win last year. Congrats!

That's even more impressive knowing that you did it in your last run, with all the pressure to beat such a score as1,136,000ish. That's a champion attitude.

I never got over 95% once. It was always between 85 or 92.

Ahhh!! It explains a lot. I knew the percentage was not on the spot at all. Sometimes I felt like I missed about 3 planes and still get around 90%.

Do you know what's the bonus for getting 100%?

Yeah, being able to no death 1943   about 4 out of 5 times definitely helps.  This game is like playing the last level of 1943 constantly, because one shot kills you. I think my first go of it was around 670k

It defintely tested my gaming fortitude at the end.  All the same, I definitely wouldn't have done it without Christian posting that score and setting the bar for me.  Otherwise I wouldn't have even tried, thinking my original score was safe, and you would have topped it at the end.

50 thousand is the bonus for 100%   Credit Tom Votava with that tidbit on how to get 100%, but alas, it didn't help me knowing that anyway.

Damn Christian

I knew since the beginning that this contest was going to be extreme. Even if I made my score before Sunday, I continued playing with the fear that someone would 1-lifed it. But it's hard to pass all the bullshit and get to the last stages, you need motivation, and you need to be in the zone.

You definitely deserve you're win man!

Now I hope the next game will be much more smooth...

Damn, I had a good run going, I looped it sooner then all of you. I was doing great but I started to get sharp pains in my elbow and I died 1 or 2 levels after the pain kicked in

I was actually planing on you beating it in 1 life this week, after what you did with 1943 last time.

Yeah, I could have played more agressively, but the name of the game was survival.

An anoying bug that cropped up also, was that my bonus yasachi planes would amost invariably spawn when I was going down on the carrier, or in the middle of the boss fight. Alot of times, my Yasachi plane would explode as soon as it flew on the screen so I didn't get it either.

So did anyone get bitten by the invisble planes? Some other bugs I saw was a plane firing almost a half second after shooting it down. Also occasionally I got two POWs out of the yellow groups. One time I was awarded the POW without shooting all the planes down.

Honestly I never died on a loop de loop, because you can push yourself to almost any part of the screen and start firing before you've finished it. Sometimes I had to immediately do another. But I did die once thinking I still had one when I didn't and tried to use it. Ended a pretty good run.

Well I spend all day yesterday at an amusement Park doing real loop de loops and the Space Shot.  It was for my wifes birthday.

Given more time had I been able to play Saturday and Friday, I could have done it.  Probably be done within the week.

Well, I never died because of an invisible plane. My main strategy to avoid them was to kill them before they became invisible . Otherwise, I was quite good to mentally recreate their movement, so I could either fire at them or dodge them.

I had a lot of difficulty using promptly the loop de loop. This was certainly a big handicap for me. I never used more than one in a stage, and used about 4 of them during my big run.
