4/16/12 LUNCH BREAK visit  to another game store I haven't in years...

A very good thing I went here. Too bad I didn't go a few weeks ago when I still needed 1 of these.

1. 12$ Urban Champion CIB - with hangtab intact
2. 15$ Donkey Kong Classics CIB (I still needed this one)
3. 15$ Zelda 2 CIB in MINT (I was looking for a mint one for a long time)
4. 15$ Zelda 1 CIB in GOOD (for sale/trade... already have 3 of it) and only reason I got it today was because it was rubber banded to Zelda 2 and sold as a pair
5. 6$ Terminator 2 (manual missing but luckily I have the manual already)
6. 15$ Young Indiana Jones (CIB) in PERFECT MINT.... for sale/trade since I just bought it 2 weeks ago.

They had so much shit at this store I didn't have time go through it all. They had 400+ SNES games including boxed ones. Fun N Games boxed. Wouldn't be surprised if there was other good items in the store.

4/18/12: GI Joe A Real American Hero CIB - last 11 games I need, this was another hard-to-find in box. Classic Concentration to replace the cart I cracked accidentally. Comes from Sosafan - one of my favorite sellers on eBay! Finally, 2 empty black boxes from a fellow Nintendoager. Donkey Kong and Urban Champion. Consequently, while they were in transit, I found a very good condition Urban locally so I now have 2. One has the hangtab still in place, the other is made without one. I am going to sell this one (version w/ no hangtab), so make an offer!

I didn't post it yesterday in the finders keepers forum, but rather in the price check forum.. I received all 13 Camerica games sealed and just about all mint. Got a few other games but already put away so no pics. As for today, today was one of those days that are few and far inbetween, a day of excitement!

2 R-9 boxes! Best of the Best (thx fellow NAger), Pro Sport Hockey, plus another black box Duck Hunt, and 2 other games from my friend Eric. Widget was one I needed, so I now need 9 games. And Whomp 'Em is a very hard to find box/manual so I picked that up too.

4/23/12:

Monster Party factory sealed. One just sold on eBay for 250+ dollars, this one I picked up for 50, so I am very happy with that price. Replaced the Baseball box with a near mint copy. Received Slalom from Guillavoie, narrowing down my black boxes, not to mention this copy is in fantastic condition. Also received from him: Swamp Thing, UBI SOFT Indiana, and Ninja Kid - 2 of those extremely difficult to locate CIB mint, so again, very happy with that. Finally, a mint like new Metroid to replace my poor condition copy. Now have all 3 grey boxes in mint condition.

That is a nice Ninja Kid, shame someone had to draw on it with marker. Maybe you can clean it up?

Is there a difference between the large bottle of Goo Gone vs. the little squirt bottles? Like, do they have different ingredients or something? Just curious because you said make sure it's squirt bottle. ;0

Last night: RoadBlasters, Athletic World, Home Alone 2, Bo Jackson, Karate Kid, Joust, Hunt for Red October, Willow, Spiderman, Rocketeer, and Wrestlemania. Not bad for a late night trip to another local game store.

I haven't updated my finds in a while due to being busier than usual. I do have a lot of pics to post but want to wait because I have some things brewing on the homefront. Meanwhile, I did get this today, which is pretty awesome...

So... for the past 2 weeks I've been receiving packages from someone. I think this one person is the reason I'm going to have a CIB set soon. Today was the last big package. I can't believe it, but I got 9 of the hardest items on my list here. It took a lot of planning, patience, and money to make this happen. I am taking a break to focus on my wedding and to sell stuff for a few months to clear out my excess inventory. I am getting close to a set but still have a few easy items to pickup as well as a very small number of hard to find items, only 2 being a challenge from here out (1 of them is going to be a real challenge, the other is easy to find just costly). I have to admit I got nervous that something might fall through in the final stages on these games below. So without further ado, today I received the following CIB's:

Donkey Kong Jr.
Donkey Kong Math
Die Hard
Sqoon
Chubby Cherub
Sword Master
Wild Gunman
Mighty Final Fight
Hillsfar

Of those, DK Math, Sqoon, and Chubby are easily R9's. I would say Die Hard was as difficult to locate as those as well. All of these were in my opinion some of the most challenging to find CIB's for the NES. I will post pics of my other packages later. I am not a mint snob or OCD on everything being mint, but I am picky that the box is at least good or very good - after all, I have the carts, I'm really only after the boxes at this point. I had to make a sacrifice on Cherub. I was so sick of waiting and looking that I decided this one would do. To those who need rare items: you're going to go insane waiting for a mint DK Math or Cherub, it may NEVER come around in your lifetime and when it does 50 other people will want it too. I suggest getting what you can now and upgrading later if one ever comes along. DK Math is in good condition in my opinion, it's not mint, but all be damned, it was my one chance and I know how that goes from past mistakes. All the others in good condition, with Mighty Final showing a some minor wear and is going to be for sale if anyone wants, send an offer. Sqoon is NM and DK Jr. shows some wear on the edges.

Beutiful games! Care to share prices? I'd be interested in what the going rate is for these games now. Or at least for the lot.

(sorry to say the young indy is definitely a reseal - those are h-seam only)

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

i was just thinking about it today and was thinking the same thing. if it is a reseal, it'd be interesting because the box is gem mint and the flap has never been bent.

Hate to break many hearts, but none of my finds above are for sale. They are more like treasure discoveries than finds. I got a lot of people asking for 2 of the games. If I ever ever sell them, i'll give those people an early worm heads up. Meanwhile, I have over 300 items I'm selling this week for NES. It's mostly loose carts, some with manuals, some CIB. Will post the list in a new FS thread soon. Included is a lot of rare carts.
