Okey, so it's a jungle out there: DAS, SCN, USA, HKG, NOE, CAN, FRA, ITA, FAH, AUS etc...

I recently talked to a guy selling tons of games in Sweden, importing them from most parts of Europe (Ebay).

He said that he once saw a game with the mark ISR (Israel?) on box and manual. But the cartridge was an ordinary EEC. He apperntly got it from France.

Anyone else seen these? Or the Greek/Cyprus ones?

What makes you say there was a specific code for Greece/Cyprus? Have you ever seen one? Here in Portugal, a small market like Greece, we had the universal GPS code. Just with a sticker on the box and an extra manual in Portuguese. I just assumed that the same thing happened in similar markets like Greece.

I'm almost certain that with a lot of games in Australia we just got the EUR games (i.e. not all games were coded AUS).

I once bought an Excite Bike on Cyprus, probably GPS (big box, pixel art). It had greek letters in the manual, but I sold it before I started care about the regions...

Hey,

I confirm I have a CIB ISR Excitebike. Box is a European small Box, with a printing (not a sticker) white circle with Hebrew writing.

Code on flaps is ISR. Cart is a common EEC.

At this point, I'm surprised Nintendo didn't make codes for each individual state in USA.

For Europe and others world areas, Nintendo was not very "homogeneous".

Nintendo has not been perverse with the U.S.

Interesting thread. I meant to post this here already but I have an ISR Super Mario Bros. Underneath the black sticker with Hebrew writing is the same white printed circle with Hebrew writing that is on your Excitebike and your friends Donkey Kong. Same with the black sticker on my manual.

I'm not Greek, but I have a few Greek manuals. There is no code on the manuals.

I also have an Ice Climber ISR manual if anyone wants to see it.

No code, how boring. Thanks for showing.

I can confirm that there is a greece manual to Excite Bike as well. Probably without code.

The Israelic games are probably pretty rare since Nintendo most likely were very small there. The most popular console were the Megason clone accoring to their Wikipedia.

(Both Nintendo World Cup & Skate or Die exists in GPS-versions, maybe the G in GPS really is Greece? What about Kung Fu?)

These codes are an endless discoveries! So we identified ISR games:

Excitebike
DK3
SMB

and Ice Climber

The investigation continues ...

Here is my beaten up Ice Climber ISR manual:

The white circle on the back is not a sticker, although it looks like one.
