^That's pretty standard for the Madden. I don't know if there are others but I have seen plenty of the Made in Puerto Rico copies.

The stamped text carts are Assembled in Mexico re-releases by Majesco

I stand corrected, I thought for sure my sealed copy was MIJ but I have been wrong before.

I got my first Assembled in Mexico game ever today in the mail - Goof Troop. I feel like those rereleases must not have made it to the northeast very often, because I never recall seeing a game with a stamped back until this one.

This is an old thread, but since I never weighed in, I do prefer Majesco releases if they look nice. Since the labels on the SNES carts are more susceptible to damage and the carts themselves seem to be more rare, a nice Majesco cart is good.

I'd take a Castlevania Bloodlines cardboard box over the hard case just because they are more fragile.

I just got a Spongebob Squarepants Video GBA Vol 3 CIB the other day (R8 woot!), and good ol' Majesco made it. They are everywhere these days, the extensive Cooking Mama series, A Boy and His Blob, Guilty Gear, etc. They must be a pretty big company by now.

I have the Made in Mexico version of Castlevania IV and it has the black and white manual and the cartridge label lacks the gloss of the Made in Japan version.

I made a thread on this years ago.

They switched over from made in japan to made in mexico in jun/july 95.

Titles released after that date, with a very few exceptions, exist only as 'made in mexico.'

assembled in mexico is of course different and refers to majesco reprints circa 97/98

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!
