Score very modestly updated. Blah. I have the exact opposite experience of mbd with this one. A lot of it goes back to my intense dislike of almost all puzzle games. The only one I've ever enjoyed, that I can remember, is Tetris, and it's not like I'm even super skilled at that one; it just hits the spot for me.

The perfect bonus gives the game a neat risk versus reward factor. After getting some perfects in a row, do you try for the big points once again or go for combos this time?

OK, this won't go well for the next days.
Reflexes and time of the month don't go along. I will just try to beat the game today for a placeholder score and wait till Friday night to try for perfects.

It takes a lot of practice, but once it starts becoming second nature, I find that it's easier to get perfects than going for combos.

Try getting perfects at difficulty level 5. My best so far is four in a row.

Last night my son turned on my TV, turned on the system, grabbed the controller, and sat down

Yeah, but fine hand eye coordination and high doses of dipyrone to handle pain don't go together.
Won't be happening for a few days, definitely.

It's terrible.

Input lag moving the guy from slot to slot.

I shoot a 3, switch to 4, it doesn't switch, I'm still shooting 3's, fucked.

Input lag on my last shot of a 3 (I hit "a" but nothing fired), so I switched to 4 but I'm screwed because that last 3 was a blank, fucked.

Input lag guy doesn't move over all the way I shoot to wrong location, fucked.

Whats impressive about getting perfects in the higher rounds is the ability to play with such crap control, otherwise we would all get perfects.

I'm just going to grind and hope for a lucky run. I'm getting more consistent at the higher stages but still a lil short of the top scorers.

I do not like this game but it's not worse than pacman on the controller response front, this game isn't that frustrating, it's stupid and I can't keep up no matter how hard I try but this thread is ridiculous

Good, spend all week grinding so that Richard and Krunch get a massive head start on you for Adventure Island and beat your ass!

1.) The controls do feel slightly delayed, but also you cannot move and shoot. Sometimes it will seem like poor control resulted in the fire button being unresponsive, but it's that you have to be still while shooting. But the control issues add to the challenge and sense of tension as the dice pile up.

2.) Getting perfects beyond stage 2 when playing on highest difficulty is brutal. A couple of times I've managed four perfects in a row, but you can't make mistakes. Realistically I'll be lucky to even get 250-300k by Sunday, so I probably won't make it to round 3. Maybe I'll surprise myself.
