If you have a referral account on another site (that pays you for referrals, whether in the form of money or anything else) and you link to that on NA, you will have your account removed after a warning.

We work hard to keep NA open, and all the people that donate to keep NA open and ad-free didn't do it so that you can profit off their contributions and our hard work.

That said, this is a pre-holiday heads-up to NOT link to ads with YOUR referral credentials.

On a more serious note, suppose someone in a thread asks where to buy a Supaboy or FC Mobile or some other video game related device, and I post a reply with a direct link to a webpage where they are up for sale on Amazon or eBay or somewhere, am I violating any forum rules?

You can post the link, just not with your personal referral code if you are a member of Amazon or ebay rewards programs.

I'm not a member of any affiliate programs, but I've seen the extra garbage characters in the referral codes that are added on the ends of urls sometimes. Some sites even have redirect codes that mask the destination url until after you've already clicked on it. I just wanted to make sure it was still safe to post links to products on other sites.
