Sorry about that, bimmy, I thought we were just going by the base time when I first read through and started to play.  Are my scores still okay?  Feel free to determine what amount of miliseconds you'd like to add to it, I wasn't paying attention att the winning screen and didn't even think about that.  I thought you wanted us to show the KO screen so you could clearly see the opponent and stuff but I guess it's obvious from the winning screen.  I should be able to duplicate these, I want to get a lower time for Kaiser anyway.  That's about as low as you can get on the second Honda, to my knowledge, but no clue what my miliseconds were.

Stan, you need to take the pic at the results screen so they can see the milliseconds. They will be able to tell which fighter you just KOed by the circuit and your promoted ranking.

Just fair warning for anyone going for the Mike Tyson bonus, it doesn't show the time in milliseconds after you beat him so have your cameras ready when he's down for the count!

Thanks for the heads up, Doug.  In my Punch-Out career I've only been able to win by decision against Iron Mike, so I was unaware of that fact.

The only way to get your time agains Mike Tyson in milliseconds is to beat him in the "Another World Circuit". If you do that, it shows your time at the bottom of the screen after you beat him, but you would have to go through the entire thing instead of being able to use the password to fight him directly.

Super Macho Man is where I'm really weak. I can get him down in the first round, but nothing compared to the TAS 45-second finish. There are too many perfect frames to deal with trying to get him down that fast.

Keep in mind that some of those TAS times use the clock stop glitch to achieve such low times.
Last time we did this one, the clock stop glitch wasn't allowed.

Bea, I'm glad you mentioned this because I forgot about it when I created the rules.  The clock stop glitch will be forbidden for the contest.

EDIT :
I have re-take some of the "final" screen pics...the ones i have not, i put .99 in for the milliseconds to be fair
ok
TOTAL TIME = 11:45.40
not that great...
Glass - 1:42.61
Von - 1:08.82
Don - 0:40.00
Hippo -  1:17.99
Piston - 2:00.99
SMM - 4:54.99

BONUS
Tyson - 5:35.99

gotta work on shaving time off of Glass Joe and Von Kaiser...

I SUCK at Super Macho Man, and that will sadly be my best time on him...he has always been the hardest one for me...even harder than tyson

It's difficult to determine the milliseconds from the KO screen, so those pics won't be acceptable.  If you want to include them with your pictures of the results screens, that is fine, but pictures of the results screens are all that's required this week.  It's easy enough to determine which boxer it is from the results screen, so there won't be any problems there.

EDIT

I've thought about this more, and I guess I won't make the KO screenshots forbidden, but if you choose to take your picture on the KO screen instead of the results screen, your milliseconds total will be :99.  It will be in everyone's best interest to take the picture on the results screen so you can potentially have a lower number in the milliseconds spot.

Mr. Dream his punches are just as fast as those of mike tyson.
But you have more time to hit Mr Dream then Mike tyson.
So Mr dream is the way to go for inexperienced punch out players.

Err... no?
I have never heard of such thing, and on my experience, you have exactly the same time to hit both when you dodge.
Everything about them is identical, from the AI patterns to stun times.

Unless Nintendo screwed up on the VC port.

The ones with the lowest possible times involve the clock stop glitch, so don't use them because we WILL know you used it.

Hmmm.. 25 years since I actually played this.
I know going to get hosed, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway, now that I am work-free.

So far, I have Glass Joe at 42.25 and Von Kaiser at 59.25.

I finally beat Macho Man after going at him an hour straight. After a few close calls in the 1st round, it was obvious I had to go for a 1st round TKO, since I couldn't keep it going in the 2nd round each time. I don't think I've celebrated after achieving something like this in a video game in a long, long time.

This is the final total now.

UPDATED 5/12/13
Total = 6:40.26

Glass Joe - 0:42.00 in Round 1

Von Kaiser - 0:54.82 in Round 1

Don Flamenco - 0:17.48 in Round 1 (UPDATE 5/7/13)

King Hippo - 1:03.00 in Round 1

Piston Honda - 1:00.99 in Round 1

Super Macho Man - 2:41.97 in Round 1
(I will NOT attempt him again after this)

Got some pretty nice scores, but SMM is awfully hard!
Any tips? Strategies?
Thanks!

If you don't get hit by Super Macho Man and successfully counter all of his attacks, you should be able to beat him between the 2:30 and 2:50 mark of Round 1 and that's if you just use regular punches and no uppercuts (the stars).  I forget exactly how to get the stars (I think you have to jab him when he's getting ready to throw and uppercut), but the one time I managed to get one or two on him, I beat him at 2:16 of Round 1.

Since people are having trouble with Macho, I will share what I shared with AceEbb in 2011 when he PM'ed me.

This is what I do:
Always start the round with a gutter. It's a free hit.
Then he will start throwing hooks or uppers.
If he does an upper, dodge and throw 5 punches then delay the last one. When he is almost recovering from the stun, toss another one. Free star.
The timing is a bit tricky, but once you get used to it, you won't miss.
Then we come to his hooks. Dodge them, toss two punches and use a star punch if you have it. It only works two times. He will dodge the third, so don't waste your time.
Also, always remember to hit him with the opposite hand. He tosses a right upper or hook, hit him with a left jab (up + B button). He tosses a left upper, go for a right jab (up + A button). And always use the gutter with A button.
Once MM stops to prepare for his single spin punch, gutter him like there's no tomorrow. You will knock him down by here.
Now, once he is up, gutter, gutter, gutter, gutter until he throws his spin punch. Dodge it, toss 10 punches and immediately follow with a star punch (you will have more than enough thanks to the gutters).
He won't be down yet, so follow the star punch quickly with a left jab (up + B). It will give you a star. You can throw it at him right after the jab, as he usually goes for a hook, or you can be safe and dodge his next attack and knock him down the second time.
Once he is up, star punch followed by gutters, dodge spin punch, 10 left jabs, star punch, left jab and star punch if he is still up. He will go down at around 1:30~1:35.
Have fun beating Super Bonus Stage Man under 2 minutes.

To perform the gutter, tap up, release it quickly and press either A or B. He will guard up and your body blow will connect.

Edit:
This video shows a variation of this strategy, without the delayed punches:

The final time is horrible slow, but allows you to drop him under 1:50 easily. Start from here, learn the delayed punches for the extra stars and never bother with Super Bonus Stage Man ever again.

I'm finally back. Things aren't back to normal yet,but they are getting there. Glad to be able to compete again.
I'm having trouble with photobucket on my phone so I'll post some times later.

I will have to redo Flamenco though since I beat him with the clock glitch in 13 seconds, which makes me very skeptical of any posted times similar to mine.

If it between 14 high and 15 seconds, it is pretty legit for Don 1. Lower than that is only achievable through clock stop glitch.

Best way to get stars on SMM is to stall after dodging his crouching uppercuts. Hit him right as he recovers from his swing and you'll almost always get a star.

I got him down in 2:20 of the first round, but I'm not happy with it. I need to work on him and get a luckier King Hippo pattern before I'll be happy with my times.

More than fair, because damn I don't know if I can get that Honda time again.  It's tough to get him that fast, partially lucky.

Well, I shaved almost a minute off of my overall time. There might be another 15-30 seconds I could trim but that will have to wait for another day.

I shaved a few more seconds on some of the fights. Here are my latest totals:

Glass Joe:  42.00
Von Kaiser: 44.82
Dom Flamenco: 14.99
King Hippo: 46.48
Piston Honda: 1:00.99
Super Macho Man: 2:16.25

Total Time: 5:45.53

I've included pics, but a few of them were before I realized my user name had to be actually in the picture instead of just labeling it. However, you can clearly see it is the exact same monitor and background in all pics.

YES!!! Tonight, in the second round, I TKOed Tyson for the first time! Previously, I had only won by decision, so this is a really sweet victory for me. I did some research and studied some videos and tonight it all fell into place. Wooo and Hooo.

Time permitting, I'd like to get back to Punch-Out and slim down my times a bit more, but, if finally beating Tyson by putting him down cold on the canvas is all I take away from this week's competition, I will be a richer man for it.

Really happy right now. Really happy.

Good luck to everyone!!
